This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for operational execution, production performance, accountability, workflow management, and team leadership across CNC manufacturing operations.</p><p>We are looking for a proven manufacturing leader with experience overseeing CNC machining operations in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate understands the demands of precision manufacturing, can lead through changing priorities, and has a track record of driving operational performance, accountability, and results.</p><p>This is not an entry-level leadership opportunity. We are seeking someone who has successfully operated at the operations management level and can immediately contribute to production execution, process improvement, and operational stability.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Provide operational leadership across CNC milling and turning departments</p></li><li><p>Drive daily production execution to support quality, delivery, and efficiency goals</p></li><li><p>Manage workflow, staffing, machine utilization, and production priorities</p></li><li><p>Partner with supervisors, quality, planning, and leadership to resolve operational challenges</p></li><li><p>Maintain accountability across production teams and support a performance-driven culture</p></li><li><p>Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement</p></li><li><p>Support scheduling execution and proactively communicate production risks or delays</p></li><li><p>Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, organization, and operational consistency</p></li><li><p>Maintain a safe, organized, and productive manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives</p></li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li><p>Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within CNC machining operations</p></li><li><p>Strong background in CNC milling and turning manufacturing environments</p></li><li><p>Experience overseeing production operations, workflow coordination, and manufacturing execution</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive accountability</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of machining processes, production flow, and operational challenges</p></li><li><p>Experience working in precision manufacturing environments</p></li><li><p>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills</p></li><li><p>Experience with ERP/manufacturing systems preferred</p></li></ul><h2>Preferred Experience</h2><ul><li><p>Aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing experience</p></li><li><p>Experience improving operational performance and manufacturing efficiency</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives</p></li></ul><h2>Why Midwest Precision?</h2><p>Midwest Precision is a growing precision machining company serving demanding industries including aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial manufacturing.
