This role intertwines an understanding of accounting and financial principals with an candidate's desire to learn about sector and economic trends impacting the technology companies we work alongside. In joining our San Francisco team, this role will focus heavily on understanding and contributing withing the active debt processes – structuring, underwriting, and presenting to our credit team.</p>\n<h2>What We're Looking For</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Involved in and eventually leading portfolio level analytics and reporting, including pipelines, portfolio tracking, board material development, and special projects with Group leads.</li>\n <li>Focused on learning about various forms of debt and their applicability to businesses based on each company’s unique attributes.</li>\n <li>Able to contribute within deal processes – from the collection and review of diligence materials to the underwriting and internal presentation of credit packages to legal documentation.</li>\n <li>Involved in the monitoring of a portfolio of borrowers to ensure compliance with loan covenants and report status up to the leadership team.</li>\n <li>Attend industry events, networking functions, and conferences to represent the firm and build professional networks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.</li>\n <li>Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.</li>\n <li>Effective communication in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.</li>\n <li>Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel software proficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education & Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or another business related field required.</li>\n <li>Minimum Required: 1+ years' of commercial banking, investment banking, or private capital investing experience required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Systems & Technology</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation Range</h2>Salary: USD $90,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
