HR Manager and Global HR Compliance Coordinator
Animals Asia Foundation is seeking a professional for the role of Human Resources Manager and Global Human Resources Compliance Coordinator.
The organisation is experiencing rapid growth in its animal welfare programs and supporter base. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the preservation and promotion of the foundation’s long-practiced internal culture of kindness through its core values of empathy, courage, respect and tenacity.

Job Responsibilities
Global HR Compliance and HR Operations
HR Systems & Process Automation:
Oversee HRIS implementation and optimization.
Identify and implement digital tools to automate repetitive HR tasks.
Labour Law compliance & HR Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to local labor laws and update employee handbooks/policies accordingly.
Conduct HR audits (year-end, safety protocols) and mitigate HR legal risks.
Payroll, Benefits and Rewards:
Benchmark compensation and benefits to ensure competitiveness.
Administer health insurance and other benefits. long-service awards, and other reward programs.
Policy Standardisation & Implementation:
Conduct internal policy audits and ensure global alignment with local adaptations.
Lead the rollout of standardised HR processes across regions.
Process Support & Reporting:
Align performance appraisal cycles with compliance requirements.
Generate HR metrics and compliance reports for leadership.
Country HR Management
Lead the country HR function and act as the primary HR contact and strategic advisor to the Global HR Director.
Effectively lead a team of local HR and Admin professionals and manage day-to-day HR workflows.
Lead rollout of global HR initiatives after adapting them to local needs and practices.
Based on trusted relationships across the organisation, effectively facilitate cross-team collaboration, coaching and conflict management.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Oversee employee performance management, including the appraisal process.
Optimize HR processes using technology (e.g. HRIS, analytics tools).
Lead recruitment and employer branding.
Manage and implement the remuneration policy.
Manage the department’s finances, including its budget, and continually identify opportunities to work more effectively and cost efficiently.
Qualifications
Experience
A minimum of 8 years’ progressive experience in HR Operations, or HR risk management.
Track record in policy standardisation and HR audits.
Track record of HR management in the local countries.
Experience scaling HR processes globally.
Experience supervising or leading a team.
Skills / Abilities
Proficiency in HRIS and process automation tools.
Strong analytical skills for HR audits and reporting.
Strong project management skills for global HR initiatives.
Outstanding stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration.
Knowledge of payroll, benefits, benchmarking, and labour laws.
Knowledge
International HR best practices and HR Compliance.
Detailed knowledge of local country employment practices, labour laws and regulation.
Knowledge of HR analytics and reporting tools.
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
Languages
Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
Proficiency in local languages.
