We supply steel for bridges, stadiums, barges and large buildings but one thing will always remain the same: We treat our customers and employees like family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>ABOUT THE POSTION:</p>\n<p>We are looking for a motivated Traffic Coordinator to join our San Antonio team. The Traffic Coordinator plays a crucial role in scheduling and assigning drivers and vehicles for steel/product transportation. They also coordinate driver assignments based on customer requests while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Come join our team!</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Follow Triple-S safe methods of work at all times and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions </li>\n   <li>Daily routing and route compliance of deliveries and pick ups </li>\n   <li>Ensure drivers are in compliance with all DOT regulations and Company policies (physically inspect equipment daily)</li>\n   <li>Assign and direct drivers each day, maintain fleet equipment maintenance</li>\n   <li>Experience in flatbed operations a plus and load securement </li>\n   <li>Experience with Roadnet software a plus (or a comparable dispatching software)</li>\n   <li>Must negotiate rates, build new carriers contacts with contract carriers and ensure their equipment meets DOT standards </li>\n   <li>Monitor E-LOGS and DVIR’s (current system JJ KELLER-Encompass) to maintain DOT compliance.</li>\n   <li>Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills</li>\n   <li>Must be able to interact with all levels of management </li>\n   <li>Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook</li>\n   <li>Must be flexible and willing to work “off schedule” on occasion </li>\n   <li>Knowledge of StelPlan a plus</li>\n   <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other duties as assigned.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education and Experience:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires 2-4 years of prior fleet dispatch experience and must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a distribution center. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Highly organized individual with a commitment to consistent attention to detail. </li>\n <li>Flexibility and adaptability to assume additional responsibilities and accommodate customer requests. </li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, often under pressure/situations within a team environment. </li>\n <li>Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform a variety of tasks.</li>\n <li>Ability to build business relationships and collaborate effectively.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Requirement and Skills:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. </li>\n <li>Highly organized individual with a commitment to consistent attention to detail. </li>\n <li>Flexibility and adaptability to assume additional responsibilities and accommodate customer requests. </li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, often under pressure/situations within a team environment. </li>\n <li>Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment to perform a variety of tasks.</li>\n <li>Ability to build business relationships and collaborate effectively.</li>\n <li>Experience in flatbed operations and load securement a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience with Roadnet software or other dispatching software a plus.</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook </li>\n <li>Must be able to interact with all levels of management.</li>\n <li>Must be flexible and willing to work “off schedule” on occasion.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of StelPlan a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Other:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
