BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.</p><p>BR+A is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer in our Boston Office.&nbsp;The ideal candidate will have 10-20 years of experience, an engineering degree, be a registered Professional Engineer, and possess the following abilities:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience designing Fire Protection systems for Healthcare, Higher Education, and Laboratory projects</li><li>Proficient in Auto CAD and Revit</li><li>Experience in specification writing</li><li>Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects</li><li>Coordinate with other disciplines</li><li>Develop Hydraulic calculations for sprinklers and standpipes using computer&nbsp;programs</li><li>Thorough knowledge of NFPA Codes</li><li>Basic knowledge of Fire Protection systems including wet, dry and specialty systems</li><li>Understands work planning and manages the design process to the available hours in the work plan</li><li>Meets with clients and work with contractors</li><li>Oversees deliverables to and from clients</li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills</li><li>Strongly motivated, well organized, shows professional initiative</li><li>Takes ownership of assignments, works both independently and as part of the project team</li></ul><p><strong>Position requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering</li><li>PE License</li><li>10-20 years of related experience</li></ul><p>BR+A is a place to learn, to grow, to work hard for clients that matter &ndash; and to be part of something bigger.
