    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">POSITION SUMMARY:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Concessions Worker reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with all departments at @the Grounds. The Concessions Worker is responsible for greeting guests in a pleasant manner while filling food and beverage orders. The Concession Worker will operate the Point-of-Sale system and collect money for purchased food and beverage items. Must be 18 or older for this role. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the Concession Workers are responsible for the following: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Required to complete the Food Safety/Handlers training and the CA Alcohol Server training. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Take customer orders and assemble them correctly. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Check identification for age-restricted items, such as alcoholic beverages. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Accept payment from customers via a cash register. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Check food items to ensure quality and safety standards are met. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Keep the assigned area clean, sanitary, and safe. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Perform basic maintenance of machines and equipment as needed. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Answer questions about concession stand location, and prices of goods. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Under the guidance of a supervisor, maintain concession stand records with information on products used and food served to customers. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Complete inventory sheets daily, nothing supplies that need to be replenished. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Enter data into the computerized cash register system. They may also be responsible for balancing register tills at the end of the day. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to speak, read, and write in English. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">@the Grounds is a non-profit organization managing @the Grounds campus. @the Grounds is the home of the Placer County Fair, All-American Speedway, and Event Center @ the grounds.
