DESCRIPTION:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>This </span><span>full-time</span><span>, non-exempt, </span><span>benefited</span><span> </span><span>position supports the missions and operations of </span><span>Scouting America,</span><span> </span><span>Orange County </span><span>Council</span><span> and the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center.</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The</span><span> </span><span>Senior </span><span>Area</span><span> Director</span><span>-</span><span> Evening</span><span>s</span><span> and Weekends</span><span> </span><span>is</span><span> primarily responsible for </span><span>supporting outdoor programs at the IROEC during weekday evenings and </span><span>through </span><span>variable</span><span> </span><span>weekends</span><span>.</span><span> </span><span>This includes </span><span>training</span><span> and oversight </span><span>of evening program instructor</span><span>s</span><span> as well as</span><span> the </span><span>camp’s </span><span>c</span><span>ommissioner</span><span> </span><span>team in </span><span>logistics</span><span> and guest relations</span><span>.</span><span> </span><span>Th</span><span>is</span><span> Director</span><span> </span><span>is</span><span> </span><span>part of the leadership team of the property, and </span><span>contributes to the</span><span> oversight of </span><span>all </span><span>operations, program style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>JOB DUTIES </span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>This role directly supports the Adventure Program Director in overseeing camp program </span><span>conducted during weekday afternoons and evenings, as well as at least one weekend day per week</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Deliver high quality programming, personify professionalism, and </span><span>exhibit</span><span> excellent customer service to all staff and guests of the IROEC.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Conduct i</span><span>nstructor </span><span>and </span><span>c</span><span>ommissioner </span><span>t</span><span>eam </span><span>development and in-service </span><span>trainings</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work with Janitorial, Maintenance, Kitchen, and Program staff to </span><span>maintain</span><span> clean, safe, and enjoyable facilities for all camp visitors</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist</span><span> in overall administration and facilitation of programs as needed.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Develop and s</span><span>upport evening programming during Outdoor Science School such as Glow in the Dark Science, Night Hike, Astronomy Night, and Camp Fire.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Collaborate </span><span>in</span><span> developing and implementing </span><span>new programs</span><span> and activities.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Complete regular inspections and maintenance of program equipment and facilities.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain and uphold facility standard operating procedures including opening and closing the facility, class tracking, and staff development.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Delivery of </span><span>timely</span><span> and professional feedback about inventory, </span><span>personnel</span><span> </span><span>and program</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Participate in IROEC and </span><span>Scouting</span><span> America, OCC</span><span> staff meetings, training, and enhancement activities.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Assist</span><span> and </span><span>facilitate</span><span> programs and property needs in all areas as
