This position transports donated goods and retail inventory between donation sites, processing centers, and retail locations while providing excellent customer service to donors, retail staff, and customers. The Truck Driver ensures compliance with all DOT regulations.</span><span style=\"color: rgb(205, 89, 55); font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Collect donated materials from homes and businesses; load truck according to established guidelines and transport items to assigned retail locations or processing centers.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Transport returning or excess goods from retail stores to the Processing Center.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Supervise handling of materials and is responsible for breakage or damage.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Conduct daily vehicle inspections; maintain cleanliness of truck interior and exterior; report mechanical or safety issues to the Director of Transportation and Logistics. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ensure scheduled maintenance appointments are kept.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Verify shipments to stores are accurate; complete and handle required paperwork; sign out with appropriate operations or warehouse leadership. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Assist retail staff with placement of furniture and heavy objects at retail locations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Properly store excess donations in designated warehouse areas; maintain clean and orderly dock and work areas.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Follow all DOT, transportation department, and safety guidelines at all times.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Provide professional and courteous customer service to donors, retail staff, and customers.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Complete daily truck reports per DOT and Director of Transportation and Logistics requirements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• All other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation and Logistics. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">CORE COMPETENCIES:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Teamwork</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Customer Service</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Listening</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Flexibility</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Safety Awareness</span><br><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Time Management</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to comply with all DOT requirements.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to follow instructions and transportation guidelines.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, donors, and team members.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Prior professional driving experience required.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Must provide prior driving employment history.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Experience supervising or training others is helpful.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Knowledge of transportation safety and compliance standards.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL / SENSORY DEMANDS:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 100 pounds or more.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to climb in and out of truck cab and box repeatedly.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to carry items up and down stairs, hills, and driveways.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to work eight (8) hours or more per day performing physical labor.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Must have no lifting, standing, sitting, or climbing restrictions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">• Ability to tolerate indoor and outdoor weather conditions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORKING ENVIRONMENT:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Truck Drivers and Helpers are provided required safety equipment including back support braces, gloves, first aid kits, road triangles, rain gear, communication devices, fire extinguishers, load bars, and straps.
