    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Systems Integration Engineer (MBSE)</strong>, supporting the Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Program AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. This program focuses on advancing, sustaining, and modernizing the Air Force’s small UAS portfolio to meet evolving operational needs across multiple mission sets.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties include, but not limited to: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Apply DoDD 5000‑series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC engineering policies to SOF acquisition engineering activities.</li>\n <li>Support development and analysis of system and subsystem requirements, translating them into design criteria and system specifications.</li>\n <li>Conduct technical planning, system integration analyses, trade studies, and risk assessments across weapon system platforms.</li>\n <li>Assist in developing system performance requirements, integration objectives, and estimates for design, development, and sustainment.</li>\n <li>Review engineering proposals, designs, specifications, and change packages; provide recommendations to optimize cost, schedule, and performance.</li>\n <li>Conduct engineering evaluations supporting airworthiness (MIL‑HDBK‑516), safety (MIL‑STD‑882), and Operational Safety, Suitability & Effectiveness (OSS&E).</li>\n <li>Support engineering reviews, design reviews, TIMs, working groups, and program reviews, providing technical input, documentation, and reporting.</li>\n <li>Assist with technical planning, system integration, risk analysis, and supportability/effectiveness assessments for SOF systems, including full‑mission trainers, operational flight trainers, avionics desktop trainers, course ware, and maintenance training devices.</li>\n <li>Provide engineering leadership and technical direction in the development of systems operating within large‑scale distributed and virtual environments.</li>\n <li>Apply experience in developing systems that utilize networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and SSL.</li>\n <li>Utilize experience developing on Windows, Sun, Linux, or Unix platforms, including proficiency with C/C++ and Java.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance and support for Information Assurance (IA) accreditation and IA control implementation for projects up to and including ACAT I Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems.</li>\n <li>Deliver engineering expertise and produce required artifacts to support systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification per MIL‑HDBK‑516, system safety per MIL‑STD‑882, and life‑cycle systems engineering in accordance with DAFI 63‑1201.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Minimum Required Qualifications</em></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Citizenship: </strong>Must be a US citizen</p>\n<p><strong>Clearance: </strong>Top Secret</p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD.</li>\n <li>OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Technical Skills</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Systems engineering and integration across complex weapon system architectures</li>\n <li>Airworthiness, safety, and OSS&E evaluation in accordance with MIL‑HDBK‑516 and MIL‑STD‑882</li>\n <li>Requirements development and management using tools like DOORS, SysML, or Cameo and system architecture modeling</li>\n <li>Technical analysis, trade studies, and risk assessment supporting DoD 5000‑series acquisition processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Interpersonal Skills</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Effective communication and the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.</li>\n <li>Strong collaboration skills for working across multidisciplinary teams and with government stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Adaptability and professionalism in fast‑paced, evolving program environments.</li>\n <li>Proactive problem‑solving and the ability to build positive, solutions‑focused relationships.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>Additional Information</em></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Wright Patterson AFB, OH</p>\n<p><strong>Travel: </strong>20%</p>\n<p><strong>Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: </strong>Onsite</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-ST1</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Odyssey </strong>is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
