We provide diverse mechanical services to meet our customer’s needs, ranging from engineering and installing heating and cooling systems to maintaining and troubleshooting commercial/industrial HVAC and fire protection systems. eTEC’s mission is to provide commercial and industrial HVAC, plumbing, piping and fire protection systems for customers who need a single source mechanical contractor. We are the only mechanical service provider in central Virginia able to efficiently provide professional in-house engineering, installation and maintenance for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems to the commercial and industrial market.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Support the Preconstruction department in a variety of tasks to include accurate bidding of plumbing and HVAC work along with assisting in daily operations or tasks as delegated by the Preconstruction Manager.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Pay Range- 60,000 to 90,000 annually</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#emech</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, and Plumbing drawings/specifications in order to compile an accurate cost estimate.</li>\n <li>Takeoff quantity of items (pipe, valves, fittings, ductwork, equipment, etc.) from mechanical and plumbing drawings.</li>\n <li>Input takeoff (quantity survey) from your own or other estimator’s work to prepare accurate and complete estimates.</li>\n <li>Obtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.</li>\n <li>Assist in the bid review process, attend turnover meetings, etc.</li>\n <li>Perform job site surveys and meetings with contractors, facility managers, owners, etc.</li>\n <li>Analyze historical data, help prepare budgets, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/business or five years of HVAC industry experience.</li>\n <li>Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.</li>\n <li>Career minded</li>\n <li>Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.</li>\n <li>Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and laders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and laders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
