JOB SUMMARY
The Benefits Specialist assists with the administration of all benefit programs and overseeing and administering leave requests and accommodations. This individual works closely with HR, payroll, vendors, and employees to deliver a high-quality benefits experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in administering benefit and retirement plans. Act as the first point of contact and respond to benefits inquiries from managers and team members on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries. Process Team Members’ life status changes in the benefit admin system. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the benefit admin system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Support the annual open enrollment process. Assist in new hire orientation, communicating information about the company’s benefits packages and policies. Partners with the third-party leave of absence administration vendor on all leave of absence requests. Ensures that team members are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave. Performs other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is an office setting with varying degrees of temperature and noise levels. The vast amount of work is conducted in a climate-controlled office. Travel may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Team Member to be successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job the Team Member is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Team Member is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or more up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field. 3+ years of benefits experience. Working knowledge of ERISA laws, ACA, HSA, HIPAA, COBRA, and Section 125 Plans. Experience administering benefits enrollment and open enrollment processes. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency with systems and reporting. SAP experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
The salary range for this role is $65,000- $75,000 (Annually). Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. Jack Link’s provides a variety of benefits to eligible Team Members, including medical, dental and vision benefits, life and disability insurance, 401k participation, paid holidays, and paid time off.
