The Superintendent participates in overseeing job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the design team, vendors, and sub-contractors. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Superintendent is expected to:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Display a proactive resourcefulness to solving, anticipating, and preventing problems while working with a sense of urgency.&nbsp;</li><li>Read and understand plans and specifications.&nbsp;</li><li>Build high quality homes through the management of trade contractors, holding trades accountable to their contracts for service.&nbsp;</li><li>Motivate trade contractors and suppliers to achieve the level of quality and performance required to meet Homes by Dickerson&rsquo;s standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to manipulate a construction schedule to effectively complete the job safely, on time and on budget.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate with management to cut building costs and resolve current and future complications.</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to work with clients in a professional manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Set proper expectations and display an awareness of construction to ensure client confidence.&nbsp;</li><li>Promote and have knowledge of other Homes By Dickerson communities, initiatives and standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Attend seminars, training sessions, and company meetings on production related subjects. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Learn to Manage individual job sites.</li><li>General neighborhood upkeep. &nbsp;</li><li>Material management. &nbsp;</li><li>PO System/Budget/Invoices.</li><li>Inspect all phases of construction for quality, per plans and specifications. &nbsp;Adjust and provide feedback on design and details that do not meet Homes By Dickerson&rsquo;s standards.&nbsp;</li><li>Learn how to compile, schedule and complete pre and post orientation punch lists (starting at front elevation continuing through attic). &nbsp;Pre-orientation punch list is required to be complete prior at time of trim outs. &nbsp;Post-orientation punch list is required to be complete prior to closing.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to manipulate a construction schedule while managing the day-to-day activities to effectively complete the job on time.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate knowledge and the implementation of the various components included in our construction of building high performance homes.&nbsp;</li><li>Consult with engineers, architects, and designers on design problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Price and expedite appropriate level of customer change orders.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education, Skills &amp; Expertise:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul class=\"decimal_type\"><li>B.S. in Construction or Related Field</li><li>Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture related educational background preferred</li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven work environment.</li><li>Hands-on team player.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong organizational and people skills.</li><li>1 - 2 years of related construction project management experience preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
