    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span><strong>Position Description:</strong></span></p><p><span>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people.</span></p><p><span>We are looking for a hydrogeologist to join the Water Management Team at the Cortez operation. This team is leading an extensive dewatering effort and this hydrogeologist will assist by overseeing well drilling and construction, performing hydrogeology testing, and communicating dewatering status to other departments.</span></p><p><span>At&nbsp;Nevada Gold Mines, we are committed to a safe work environment and sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy for our host communities.</span></p><p><span><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li><span>Assist with planning, design, budget, and oversight of hydrogeology drilling &amp; construction</span></li><li><span>Perform hydrogeologic testing on drill holes and completed wells – including pump, injection, slug, packer, and airlift testing</span></li><li><span>Assist with the interpretation of hydrogeologic testing</span></li><li><span>Communicate with Mine Planning Staff – short and long range – to accomplish drilling goals</span></li><li><span>Provide hydrogeological expertise and guidance to Mine Operations and Mine Planning Staff</span></li><li><span>Install, operate, and maintain hydrogeology monitoring equipment</span></li><li><span>Collect and analyze monitoring data</span></li><li><span>Manage/supervise drillers and subcontractors</span></li><li><span>Unconventional hours may be necessary due to drilling activities</span></li><li><span>Update and maintain hydrogeologic database</span></li><li><span>The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned but are not necessarily all-inclusive.&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>A bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, geology, civil engineering (or similar)&nbsp;<strong>required</strong></span></li><li><span>Minimum 2 years of experience in the mining industry&nbsp;<strong>preferred</strong></span></li><li><span>Advanced technical communications, personal interaction and presentations skills&nbsp;<strong>required</strong></span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to operate independently and in small multi-disciplinary teams&nbsp;<strong>required</strong></span></li><li><span>Familiarity with drill rigs and installation of hydrogeology instrumentation&nbsp;<strong>preferred</strong></span></li><li><span>Excellent computer skills including MS Office, LeapFrog, Deswik, Vulcan, GIS&nbsp;<strong>preferred</strong></span></li><li><span>Excellent safety record with ability to demonstrate safety leadership&nbsp;<strong>required</strong></span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>What We Can Offer You&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>A comprehensive compensation package including&nbsp;a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</span></li><li><span>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.</span></li><li><span>Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless.</span></li><li><span>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</span></li><li><span>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</i></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>#LI-LS2</i></p>",
