    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Swan Valley Co-op is hiring a Summer Student: Yard Labourer at our Home and Building location in Swan River, MB.</p><p><span><strong>Core Function</strong></span></p><p>The Summer Student: Yard reports to the Yard Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the Home Centre yard, grounds and equipment in a neat and orderly manner ensuring it’s safe for all team members and customers. The Summer Student: Yard will perform duties in accordance with the mission statement and policies/procedures of the Swan Valley Co-op Ltd.</p><p><span><strong>What you'll do:</strong></span></p><p>Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>To adhere to our Co-op Values: <i>Respect, Integrity, Community, Excellence</i></p><p>&nbsp;</p></li><li>Removing debris and other waste materials from the Home Centre property</li><li>Basic grounds care, including mowing grass</li><li>Organizing and sorting materials on the Home Centre property to improve appearance and safety</li><li>Assist in the proper care and maintenance of all department equipment and maintain cleanliness and order of merchandise in the yard.</li><li>Practice and maintain safe procedures for the handling and stocking of merchandise.</li><li>Observe safety measures and report hazardous conditions immediately to the Yard Supervisor.</li><li>Follow safe front-line loss prevention practices and maintain a constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li><li>To be a liaison and public relations representative for the Co-op within the communities we serve.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Why it matters:</strong></p><p>Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners.
