  "skills_knowledge_expertise": "<ul><li><!--block-->Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.</li><li><!--block-->Advanced degree in a geotechnical-related field preferred but not required.</li><li><!--block-->10-15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.</li><li><!--block-->Have passed the principles of engineering (PE) exam, or have the ability to obtain within 1 year.&nbsp; If/once PE is obtained, be able to obtain multi-state licensure.</li><li><!--block-->Experience with MDOT, ODOT, or other transportation/local agencies is preferred but not required.</li><li><!--block-->Experience with construction materials testing/inspection and laboratory testing.</li><li><!--block-->Experience with geotechnical design software.</li><li><!--block-->Excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.</li><li><!--block-->Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li><!--block-->The role may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting equipment, moving soil samples, and standing for extended periods.
