SDI continues to push to be the industry leader and gold standard for corporate governance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia is expanding and adding positions for Maintenance Supervisor, who will manage an hourly unionized maintenance crew of approximately 15 millwrights and 8 electricians. </p>\n<p> </p>We are seeking applicants who have a background as a millwright or electrician and who have either progressed in their career to management with a manufacturer OR have obtained a degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering technology or electrical engineering technology. \n<h2>Responsibilities</h2> \n<ul>\n <li>Performs root cause analysis and facilitates implementation.</li>\n <li>Develops standard work procedures for maintenance department, including preventive maintenance, repairs and setup of equipment, and trains others to perform these activities.</li>\n <li>Helps develop design and installation specifications and commissioning plans for new equipment. Participates in the development of criteria for evaluating equipment.</li>\n <li>Works with production team to analyze assets including asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), remaining useful life, parameters that define operating condition, and reliability.</li>\n <li>Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel.</li>\n <li>Immediately advises site leadership of any significant maintenance problems causing or having the potential to cause delays or shutdowns of operations and works expediently toward resolving issues.</li>\n <li>Partners with the production leadership team to develop operating procedures that help sustain reliability and incorporate operator preventive maintenance activities.</li>\n <li>Evaluates, coaches, trains, and leads millwrights and electricians.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to develop training material and train others to perform precision maintenance.</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet all required deadlines.</li>\n <li>Good understanding of safety and the desire to follow all established procedures.</li>\n <li>Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power-Point.</li>\n <li>Experience with maintenance in a Steel Mill or Melt Shop would be ideal.</li>\n <li>Hydraulic experience is preferred.</li>\n <li>Previous reliability, engineering, electrical and/or mechanical training or certification is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </em></strong></p>",
