Job Description PRICING ANALYST Victoria 15-month Term The Opportunity At BC Ferries, every sailing is more than a journey. It’s a carefully balanced equation of demand, capacity, and customer experience. Behind the scenes, pricing and inventory decisions play a critical role in ensuring we move people and goods efficiently while maximizing the value of every voyage. We’re looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Revenue Management team; someone who is curious, analytical, and excited to take ownership of pricing and inventory decisions that directly impact millions of dollars in revenue. In this role, you won’t just analyze data; you’ll actively shape pricing strategies, manage demand across sailings, and influence how we optimize capacity across our network. If you’re energized by solving complex problems, experimenting with ideas, and seeing your work translate into real business results, this could be your next great opportunity. The Role Reporting to the Manager, Revenue Management, you will take ownership of a portfolio of routes and play a key role in optimizing pricing and inventory decisions across the network. You’ll contribute by: Managing pricing and inventory decisions at the sailing level to optimize revenue and customer experience Developing and executing pricing and inventory strategies aligned with seasonal demand, booking patterns, and business objectives Analyzing demand trends and customer behavior across vehicle and passenger segments to inform forecasts and pricing actions Monitoring performance and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to improve revenue outcomes Partnering with teams across the organization (Fleet Deployment, Scheduling, Marketing, BI, Operations) to align on demand, capacity, and strategy Building and maintaining reports and dashboards to support decision-making and communicate performance to leadership Executing and validating pricing changes across systems to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved strategies Contributing to forecasting and revenue management processes, including testing, experimentation, and continuous improvement Identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and analytics to enhance overall pricing effectiveness You’ll operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, balancing daily tactical decisions with longer-term strategy and performance tracking. What You Bring to the Team A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field 1–3 years of experience in an analytical or data-focused role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into insights and actions Experience working with Excel and data analysis tools; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms is an asset Exposure to forecasting, pricing, or revenue management concepts is an advantage Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced, operational environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present insights clearly Curiosity and a willingness to experiment, learn, and improve processes Why Join Us?
