          "text": "<p>The Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer focuses on the design and engineering of HVAC and mechanical utilities&#xa0;for buildings. The individual possesses demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks,&#xa0;coordinate with internal and external parties,&#xa0;establish priorities and direct the work of others. Typical tasks and deliverables that are executed by or under the supervision of the Senior Lead include site selection, master planning, commissioning and startup, load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, design reports, code evaluations, plans, P&amp;IDs, schedules, HAZOP reviews, installation details, equipment and system selection and specification, and coordination with manufacturers and trade partners. Project work includes directing design activities for all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration.&#xa0;The Senior Lead understands the development and field implementation of documents through all project phases, sizes and levels of complexity.</p><p>The&#xa0;Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer&#xa0;is responsible for&#xa0;providing oversight for the discipline at a project, office and regional level. They oversee the Mechanical discipline scope of work and manages&#xa0;the discipline budget on all project phases, sizes and levels of complexity, and&#xa0;directs and manages the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectations and project goals.&#xa0;The&#xa0;Senior&#xa0;Lead Engineer may work independently or at the direction of the Project Manager. &#xa0;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Directs and manages&#xa0;the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to&#xa0;meet client expectations&#xa0;and project goals. &#xa0;</li><li>Coordinates&#xa0;with internal and external parties, manages&#xa0;multiple complex tasks, establishes&#xa0;priorities and directs&#xa0;the work of others. &#xa0;</li><li>Works&#xa0;with a Project Manager&#xa0;on&#xa0;proposal development,&#xa0;design task identification,&#xa0;man-hour planning&#xa0;and&#xa0;project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on advanced level projects. &#xa0;</li><li>Identifies&#xa0;and resolves&#xa0;advanced non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveys. &#xa0;</li><li>Attends&#xa0;external seminars/conferences for professional development. &#xa0;</li><li>Develops&#xa0;advanced internal mechanical design and engineering training presentations.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Develops&#xa0;narratives, reports and&#xa0;construction drawing packages and writes&#xa0;construction specifications on advanced and complex projects without oversight. &#xa0;</li><li>Provides lead and advanced&#xa0;support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development and construction progress reports. &#xa0;</li><li>Conducts&#xa0;technical and leadership interviews.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Conducts&#xa0;quality checking of documents for advanced complex projects&#xa0;(e.g., technical verification of design calculations and documentation)&#xa0;and drives&#xa0;overall project quality.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Provides&#xa0;mentorship to&#xa0;less experienced Mechanical Engineers and/or Designers.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Leads&#xa0;advanced project system design programming and master planning with&#xa0;minimal or no&#xa0;support from Senior Engineer. &#xa0;</li><li>Leads&#xa0;a team of mechanical staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineering.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Provides oversight and technical leadership to other offices and related functions such as Business Development, Technical Advancement and Vertical Markets.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Provides industry-level perspective and guidance to frame business strategy in the face of evolving technology or client buying behavior. &#xa0;</li></ul>",
