    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead corrective actions using 8-D format, fault trees, cause &amp; effect diagrams, 5 Whys, and other tools; and communicate data internally and externally.</li>\n <li>Statistical techniques, i.e., failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability failure analysis, design of experiments, statistical decision making, statistical process control (SPC), and Six Sigma implementation.</li>\n <li>Participates and understands Zero-Defect methodologies, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and other principles for various customer programs.</li>\n <li>Supports the AS9100/ISO9001/IAFT16949 quality management system requirements with implementation, training and maintenance of the Quality department operating procedures, conducting internal audits and preparing data for quality management review.</li>\n <li>Support additional customer requirements including preparation and interface for surveys, readiness reviews, review and approve AS9102 first article inspections, PPAP and annual validations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of and implementation of MSA.</li>\n <li>Performs manufacturing process audits using control plans and PFMEA as input into the audit.</li>\n <li>Analyzes audit results and determines proper corrective and preventive action.</li>\n <li>Participate in and/or coordinate material review board (MRB) activities to issue, track and close corrective actions, respond to customer requests for corrective action and generate failure and investigation reports.</li>\n <li>Conduct continuous improvement projects and initiatives as necessary – experience in Kaizens (CI), Root Cause Analysis &amp; Corrective Actions.</li>\n <li>Support and aid Process Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in development and revisions for productivity, detailed work instructions, process approvals, and offset cause of deviations from quality standards.</li>\n <li>Perform failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA) and reverse PFMEAs.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ASTM /ASME International Specifications: This source provides standard requirements for steel tubes, which may include specifications for welded stainless-steel tubing.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assesses quality performance &amp; risk (or cost-of-quality) using statistical and analytical methods.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>BACKGROUND:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certification: ASQ Quality Engineer certification and/or Lean six sigma green belt or higher.</li>\n <li>5+ years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related position.</li>\n <li>Qualified internal auditor.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of stainless steel / nickel-based alloys with focus on processing including roll forming, welding, heat treating, and both destructive and non-destructive testing methods.</li>\n <li>Experience with supporting and maintaining AS9100/ISO 9001/IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of various material and commercial specifications such as ASTM, ASME, AMS/SAE and special process specifications.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of MSA.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of statistical methods, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is required.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, interpret and apply GD&amp;T to engineering drawings.</li>\n <li>Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals &amp; manufacturing work instructions in the designated language, English.</li>\n <li>Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers and stakeholders and to effectively present information to top management.</li>\n <li>Must be a team player to drive team problem solving solutions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>50% manufacturing environment&nbsp;</li>\n <li>50% office work.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>HEALTH &amp; SAFETY:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates a positive attitude towards safety and models safety for other employees at all times.</li>\n <li>Understand that it is mandatory to use and/or wear all personal protective equipment provided by the Company.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Reports all accidents, incidents and near misses and supports in determining corrective actions to eliminate workplace hazards.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Practices safe work habits as detailed in Samuels/ATC’s safety policies, procedures, C.S.A and the Occupational Health &amp; Safety Act of Ontario.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understands and completes necessary health &amp; safety training through Samuel’s Safety Training program 24/7 and ensures renewal training is completed as per company requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is for a current open position.
