    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Ecommerce Warehouse Worker is responsible for the picking and packing of online orders generated from the Kauai Coffee ecommerce website and maintaining coffee inventory for continuous business needs. &nbsp;Employees working in the Ecommerce Warehouse can expect the following experiences:</p><ul><li>Gain hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., ShipHero) and digital fulfillment tools.</li><li>Build skills in order processing, picking, packing, and shipping with a focus on accuracy and premium presentation.</li><li>Learn inventory control practices, including receiving, restocking, cycle counts, and quality checks.</li><li>Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).</li><li>Develop time management and teamwork skills while also working independently.</li><li>Understand how fulfillment supports marketing campaigns, promotions, and customer experience.</li><li>Gain exposure to training and leadership opportunities by assisting new hires and through the employee-led Fair Trade Committee involvement.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics experience is helpful but not required.</li><li>Experience with warehouse fulfillment systems (ShipHero or similar) is helpful but not required.</li><li>Forklift certification is a plus but will be required within 90 days of hire. Training will be provided.</li><li>Valid state driver&rsquo;s license preferred.</li><li>Basic computer literacy (able to use scanners, tablets, or warehouse software) is a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.</li><li>Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.</li><li>Ability to stand for the length of a shift (typically 7 hours) and to walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.</li><li>Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.</li><li>Every other month, able to work an additional 1.5 hours per shift for 1 week during promotional events and an additional 1.5 hours each shift during the peak holiday period (November 1 &ndash; December 10).</li><li>Team players can also work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Good organizational and time-management skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Commitment to safety practices and cleanliness.</li></ul><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Use warehouse management systems to monitor daily order loads and process orders.</li><li>Order Picking &amp; Packing:</li><li>Pick, pack, and ship Ecommerce coffee orders with accuracy and care.</li><li>Ensure coffee products (whole bean, ground, single-serve, gift sets, etc.) are packed securely to prevent damage in transit.</li><li>Accurately scan barcodes when picking and packing orders.</li><li>Pack orders in a way that reflects the premium quality of the coffee brand, ensuring customers receive the correct product in excellent condition for a delightful unboxing experience.</li><li>Apply promotional inserts or special packaging (e.g., campaigns, subscription offers).</li><li>Operate coffee grinding equipment and grind individual orders to specifications while adhering to safety and sanitation procedures.</li><li>Receive incoming stock of coffee products, packaging, and other merchandise, which may include tagging, sorting, labeling, and restocking.</li><li>Restock inventory into warehouse picking locations, maintaining a full supply of merchandise while rotating stock properly to ensure product freshness.</li><li>Flag and report any damaged, defective, or mislabeled coffee products.</li><li>Perform regular cycle counts and assist with monthly/quarterly inventory audits.</li><li>Inspect products for quality, freshness, and accuracy when receiving, restocking, auditing, and while packing orders before shipping.</li><li>Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts safely.</li><li>Safely unload/load containers.</li><li>Coordinate with team members to ensure an adequate supply of packing materials and other supplies.</li><li>Maintain an orderly, clean, organized, and safe work area.</li><li>May assist in the training of new hires.</li><li>May assist other Ecommerce or Kauai Coffee staff as needed with additional duties.</li></ul><p><strong>General Statement</strong></p><p>This is a description of the general duties and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to imply that these are the only duties to be performed.
