    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The right candidate sweats the details and is not satisfied until every edit, whether a 15-second social ad or a 10-minute feature, is the best it can be. They care about each shot, getting creative and putting in the work to be something that makes them proud. In this role you'll shape the creative direction of video content alongside photographers, designers, copywriters, and marketing managers, telling unique stories and capturing what it means to be an Aggie. This position of Senior Videographer (in HRIS system as a Multimedia Specialist SR) sits within University Marketing and Communications and reports to the Director of Photo & Video.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct shoots independently or as part of a team utilizing lighting, audio, and camera equipment to achieve consistent and quality results.</li>\n <li>Communicate with marketing managers to identify clients’ needs and develop concepts for video production projects of varied duration and complexity.</li>\n <li>Manage all projects within ClickUp, our workflow management software, to ensure deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress.</li>\n <li>Backup and organize all video content onto a server in a manner that is easily accessible to others.</li>\n <li>Assist with photography in various aspects of shooting and postproduction process.</li>\n <li>Manage USU’s YouTube channel, ensuring all videos have a standardized title, description, caption and thumbnail; recommend, manage and shoot content for this channel.</li>\n <li>Handle video requests from external groups on campus or media agencies and deliver the appropriate content.</li>\n <li>Provide hands-on training, mentorship and resources to student workers, faculty and staff across campus working on independent video projects.</li>\n <li>Drive forward creative video ideas, continually improve processes and contribute to a high-efficiency team environment.</li>\n <li>Must be available to work non-traditional hours including some evenings and weekends for athletics and university events, as well as occasionally travel 3-4 nights at a time.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Film, Communications, or related field plus 4+ years of professional videography experience; OR 8 years equivalent experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n <li>Experience with Mac OS and the operation of advanced editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Davinci Resolve.</li>\n <li>Experience operating drones, Part 107 license preferred.</li>\n <li>Proven editing skills that demonstrate your ability to take on various projects.</li>\n <li>Online video portfolio demonstrating a variety of shooting environments and styles.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a comprehensive understanding of video codecs, compression techniques and best methods for delivering video content.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in utilizing graphics in video; motion graphic experience a plus.</li>\n <li>Ability to conceptualize video projects and see them through execution.</li>\n <li>A love for capturing exceptional content.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with limited supervision.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail across communication, editing, and design.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Documents</h2>\n<p>Along with the online application, please attach:</p>\n<li>Resume to be uploaded at the beginning of your application in the Candidate Profile under “Resume/CV” </li>\n<li>Cover letter to be typed/pasted at the end of your application (iForm)</li>\n<li>Provide a link to your video portfolio within the application</li>\n<p> </p>\n<p>**Document size may not exceed 10 MB.**</p>\n<h2>Advertised Salary</h2>$53,010-$60,000 commensurate with experience plus excellent benefits\n<h2>ADA</h2>\n<p>This position requires moderate physical activity.
