The teacher may support students across a wide range of language abilities, from complete beginners to advanced learners, through engaging, differentiated instruction that builds confidence and communicative competence.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">The ideal candidate is passionate about language acquisition, understands the developmental needs of middle school students, and creates a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student growth. Familiarity with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is strongly preferred.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">This is a one-year position with the possibility of extension beyond one year. The role may be either part-time or full-time depending on school needs still to be determined.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Teach Spanish language learners in middle school at varying levels of proficiency, from beginner to advanced</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Design and implement engaging lessons that develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and language backgrounds</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and families</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language development and student participation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Utilize effective classroom management strategies appropriate for middle school students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Collaborate with colleagues, counselors, and administrators to support student success</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Incorporate best practices in second-language acquisition and language instruction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Use CEFR standards and descriptors to inform instruction and assessment when appropriate</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated experience teaching middle school students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience teaching Spanish as a second or additional language</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to teach students across a broad range of Spanish proficiency levels</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Strong classroom management and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to build positive relationships with middle school students</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Familiarity with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) preferred</span></li>\n</ul>",
