This role performs routine sampling, testing, inspections, and documentation activities to support compliance with FDA Grade &ldquo;A&rdquo; Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) requirements and Valley Queen internal standards.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Water Systems Technician works closely with the Manufacturing Water Systems Specialist and the Water Treatment Systems Specialist, providing hands-on support to ensure water systems operate reliably and water used in manufacturing, sanitation, and utilities remains safe and compliant.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Water Sampling, Testing &amp; Monitoring</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform routine water sampling and testing according to established schedules, SOPs, and PMO Chapter 7 requirements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct basic testing for microbial, chemical, and physical water quality parameters as assigned.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate, verify, and assist with calibration checks of water testing and monitoring equipment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accurately complete required logs, records, and checklists for water systems.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Water System Inspections &amp; Support</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct routine visual inspections of water treatment, storage, and distribution systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with monitoring filtration units, RO systems, softeners, UV systems, and chemical treatment systems under the direction of specialists.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Identify abnormal conditions, trends, or equipment concerns and promptly escalate to leadership.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support basic troubleshooting, cleaning, and preventative maintenance activities for water systems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with verification of sanitary conditions at manufacturing points of water use, including CIP and sanitation systems.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Documentation &amp; Compliance Support</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate records related to water sampling results, system checks, and equipment inspections.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow established SOPs, SSOPs, and safety procedures related to water systems and testing.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support audits and inspections by gathering documentation and assisting during walkthroughs as directed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Report results and observations clearly and promptly to the appropriate specialist or supervisor.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Training &amp; Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in required training related to water systems, food safety, and plant safety.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Sanitation, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Technical Services teams.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), plant safety requirements, and company policies at all times.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support continuous improvement efforts related to water system reliability, efficiency, and compliance.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Competencies</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Dependability</li><li>Basic Technical Aptitude</li><li>Communication Skills</li><li>Teamwork &amp; Collaboration</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Problem Awareness &amp; Escalation</li><li>Willingness to Learn</li><li>Safety Awareness</li><li>Documentation Accuracy</li><li>Attention to Detail</li></ul>&nbsp;<strong>Supervisory Responsibility</strong><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position has no supervisory responsibility.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This position operates in office, plant, laboratory, and utility environments.
