Our modern facility is thoughtfully designed to promote holistic healing, featuring contemporary amenities, six outdoor therapeutic spaces, and a calming environment that supports recovery and well-being for both patients and staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position: Registered Dietitian</strong></p>\n<p>Purpose Statement:  Serve as an expert in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease, supporting our patients’ overall treatment and recovery in a behavioral health setting</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans</li>\n <li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing, and therapy staff</li>\n <li>Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and families</li>\n <li>Monitor patient progress and adjust dietary plans as needed</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards for nutrition services</li>\n <li>Support menu planning and therapeutic diet implementation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.  </li>\n <li>​Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements. </li>\n <li>​Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.  </li>\n <li>​Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation. </li>\n <li>​Review and approve menus developed by the facility.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life. </li>\n <li>​Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient.  </li>\n <li>​Participate in treatment team as appropriate. </li>\n <li>​Review and approve facility diet manual annually in conjunction with medical staff.  </li>\n <li>​Promote better health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards as needed. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>​Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>​</strong> </p>\n<p><strong>​</strong><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>​Current registered dietician or registration as required by state or eligible for endorsement by the state in which the facility provides services. </li>\n <li>​ServSafe certification or similar food safety certification where required by the state or facility. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>HFORD</p>\n<p>#LI-HFBH</p>\n<p> </p>",
