          "text": "<p>AECOM is actively seeking a motivated career&#xa0;<strong>Traffic/Safety Engineer</strong>&#xa0;to join our Charleston, SC office. This position offers the opportunity to join a highly regarded traffic engineering design team working on a broad range of traffic and roadway design projects. You’ll be part of a connected, design‑driven team where ideas are shared, technical quality matters, and experienced transportation engineers are invested in your success.</p><p><strong>Working with project managers and lead engineers, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist Traffic Safety and Traffic Operations professionals as needed.</li><li>Research and analyze vehicular and vulnerable road user (pedestrian, bicyclist, personal conveyance device user, or worker in a work zone) crash data.</li><li>Provide analysis to support development of design or operational ideas and solutions.</li><li>Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team</li><li>Assist in preparation of studies, conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.</li><li>Communicate and collaborate in a team environment and adapt to dynamic project needs.</li><li>Assist with traffic study proposals.</li><li>Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Minimum:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline</li><li>2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education</li><li>Valid Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites, and as a condition of employment must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>5 years of experience</strong></li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience in applicable industry and SCDOT standards, regulations, and guidelines, including MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, GDOT preferred CAD software (Microstation), and traffic analysis software (Synchro)</li><li>EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of South Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months</li></ul>",
