&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Operations</strong></p><p><strong>EXEMPTION STATUS: &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Non-Exempt</p><p><strong>SUPERVISED BY:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Truist Park Operations Supervisor</p><p>SUMMARY:</p><p>The EMT-BB responds to non-emergency requests for pre-hospital care in accordance with approved company medical protocols, policies and procedures. &nbsp;Required to drive the electric &ldquo;Gem&rdquo; car vehicle and communicate via a two-way radio. &nbsp;The EMT-BB is primarily responsible for the safe operations, cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle, in addition to assisting with patient care. &nbsp;The EMT-BB is responsible for ensuring the security of the vehicle and that equipment and supply inventories are maintained.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide patient care in accordance with license, company policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, directives and standards.</li><li>Maintain working knowledge and proficiency of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and other standards of care specific to the employee&rsquo;s level of licensure.</li><li>Respond to all assigned calls in an appropriate, safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Complete required documentation, obtain appropriate signatures and submit documentation as required for each assigned call by the end of each assigned shift.</li><li>Efficiently utilize supplies and equipment according to departmental guidelines; to include the efficient operation of all basic life support equipment, properly logging in and out equipment, cleaning and restocking units, reporting possible abuse or damage of equipment to the Field Operations Supervisor.</li><li>Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the ballpark geography.</li><li>Ensure the unit and equipment are consistently maintained in a clean, organized and ready condition after each response. &nbsp;Report vehicle equipment damage or malfunctions as outlined in the operations standard operating procedures.</li><li>Perform all of the above functions in accordance with established financial and operational plans and goals pertaining to cost effectiveness and efficient management.</li><li>Prompt and regular attendance at work.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Possess and maintain current EMT licensure</li><li>Possess and maintain current BLS certification</li><li>Possess and maintain a current Georgia Driver&rsquo;s license for at least 2 years</li><li>Drivers must be at least 19 years of age</li><li>No more than 2 traffic violations within the last 36 months&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services</li><li>Knowledge of local area EMS and public safety structure.</li><li>Knowledge of local, Federal and State insurance billing guidelines for ambulance services.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to read English and understand medical terminology.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to write reports, business correspondence, and complete forms.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, superiors, customers and other public service agency personnel.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions regarding patient care, company operations and other customer service issues.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>PHYSICAL ABILITIES</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. &nbsp;</li><li>Employee frequently is required to stand and walk.</li><li>Employee is required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.</li><li>Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 150 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others.</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</li><li>Employee must be able to transfer a patient in a stair chair between floors while ascending or descending stairs with assistance of a partner. &nbsp;</li><li>Employee must be able to transfer medical bags and equipment to and from ambulance.</li><li>Employee must be able to transfer a patient on a stretcher from ground to ambulance. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Employee must be able to push/pull stretcher release handle.</li><li>Employee must be able to grip undercarriage release handle on stretcher requiring bilateral coupling forces up to 35lbs to raise and lower the stretcher.</li><li>Employee must ascend and descend stairs often multiple levels/stories.</li><li>Employee must be able to climb into out of an ambulance multiple times.</li><li>Employee must access and work on patients in an ambulance.</li><li>Employee must be able to tolerate heights up to 68&rdquo;. &nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Employee must be able to tolerate various temperatures and weather conditions.</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING ENVIRONMENT:</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Due to the nature of EMS working conditions employee may be exposed to inclement weather, potential hazardous conditions, diseases and other illnesses. &nbsp;Frequent interruptions, work pressure and irregularities in work schedule are expected. Employee is continuously faced with a number of projects considered to be high priority. Employee is subject to continually changing deadlines.
