This position is onsite and we have two locations to fill Iwakuni, Yamaguti, [Yamaguchi] Japan and Sasebo, Japan.</span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif\"><br></span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Interview patients and study medical and social case histories.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Diagnose and evaluate mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed by government supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Attend and/or comply with all trainings and meetings as assigned by Command/Government supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events. Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Comply with the standards of The Joint Commission, applicable provisions of law, and the rules and regulations of any and all governmental authorities pertaining to licensure and regulation of health care personnel and medical treatment facilities, the regulations and standards of medical practice and the MTF’s medical staff bylaws.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Provide training and/or direction as applicable to supporting government employees (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk Management (RM) functions, as prescribed by the Commander.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Comply with the HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) privacy and security policies of the treatment facility. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Providers shall obtain/maintain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) in accordance with DOD and MTF policy/instruction, as applicable. <a href=\"https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/</a></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with clinic directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required. All records and reports must be legible. Abbreviations must be only those listed in local instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Adhere to and comply with the Department of the Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and local instructions and notices in effect during the term of the contract.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Practice aseptic techniques as necessary; comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and strive to manage situations in a reduced risk manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within the MTF.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Exercise appropriate delegation of tasks and duties in the direction and coordination of health care team members, patient care, and clinic activities.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span><br><em>Necessary Skills and Knowledge:</em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Be able to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, Department of Defense, Department of Navy, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and MTF instructions and policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Excellent time management skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills with patients and other health care personnel.<br><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychology Association (APA) accredited program or school.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the APA.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">HCW shall be in good standing, and under no restrictions, with the state licensure board in any state in which a license is held or has been held within the last 10 years.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">HCW shall be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension by the Federal Government.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 18px\">Possess and maintain current certification in either the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;
