Description About The Role The CNC Machinist will set up, operate and maintain computer numerical controls (CNC) machines to produce high-quality, precision parts and components in accordance with Engineering Specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate various CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) including installing and adjusting fixtures, cutting tools and materials. Use of Mazatrol software and conduct off-line programing Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints and G-code programs to determine machining procedures and specifications. Use measuring equipment, micrometers, calipers, tape measures and other tools to ensure product meets required standards. Make real-time adjustments to controls to ensure part precision and accuracy. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent downtime, including lubrication, cleaning and tool replacement. Follows all safety procedures and regulations. Perform additional duties assigned within the department. Candidate Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in CNC machining or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on CNC operation and machine setup. Off-line programming and Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; climb; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. At times, must use ladders to work at heights of up to 12 feet. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes and is near moving machinery.
