    "description": "<p>We are looking for a skilled and proactive Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Houma, <span style=\"color: rgb(10, 10, 10)\">Louisiana</span>. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing specialist Mechanical Solutions equipment to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you’ll be doing:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare, inspect, and test equipment for hire, ensuring all items are fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented.</li>\n<li>Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, rebuilds, and preventative or corrective maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic tools.</li>\n<li>Safely store, package, and secure equipment in accordance with company procedures and transport requirements.</li>\n<li>Operate vehicles and equipment as required for diagnostics, delivery, and collection purposes.</li>\n<li>Off-hire, inspect, and test equipment returned from hire, documenting and reporting any missing or damaged items.</li>\n<li>Accurately complete work orders within the ERP system and create parts lists to coordinate repair-related parts orders.</li>\n<li>Deliver parts and equipment to customers when required and provide on-call technical support on a rotational basis.</li>\n<li>Travel offshore or dockside to support client operations as needed.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant qualification in Mechanical / Hydraulic or other similar technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.<br></li>\n<li>Experience working with diesel mechanics</li>\n<li>Experience in a Mechanical role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of mechanical equipment, preferably in a subsea environment.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance/service.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li>\n<li>Offshore experience is preferred.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who we are:</span></p>\n<p>Established in 1985, Ashtead Technology is a leading provider of subsea equipment rental solutions, advanced underwater technologies, and support services to the global offshore energy sector.
