    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This is an experienced position responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of plant equipment at an industrial feed milling plant. Areas of expertise in electrical, mechanical repair and instrumentation is emphasized.  Primary goal is to ensure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in a timely manner. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Maintenance</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis: \n  <ul>\n   <li>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Electrical repairs on motors, motor starters; running conduit and pulling wires for new installations</li>\n     <li>Building repairs and cleaning</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Moves, sets, calibrates, as needed, controls such as knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, on control panels to control process variables such as flows, temperatures, pressures, vacuum, time, and chemicals, by automatic regulation and remote control of processing units, such as heaters, coolers, compressors, exchangers, and other units.</li>\n <li>Determines malfunctioning units by observing control instruments, such as meters and gauges or by automatic warning signals, such as lights and sounding of horns.</li>\n <li>Inspects equipment to determine location and nature of malfunction such as leaks, breakages and faulty valves. </li>\n <li>Communicates directly with production to coordinate maintenance and repair work.</li>\n <li>Performs preventive maintenance activities as required. </li>\n <li>Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by the supervisor. </li>\n <li>Works with contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems<u></u><u></u></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Electrical</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs electrical maintenance in all areas of the plants on a scheduled or emergency basis.</li>\n <li>Repairs, Replacements, Installations, Alterations, Troubleshooting, Cleaning and Testing for the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Electrical Motors and associated components such as Starters, MCC’s and VFD’s.</li>\n     <li>Distribution equipment such as Panelboards and Switchgear.</li>\n     <li>Conductors and Terminations.</li>\n     <li>Sensors and Instrumentation.</li>\n     <li>Conduits, Raceways, and Fittings.</li>\n     <li>LED, HID and Incandescent Lighting.</li>\n     <li>Standard components such as Transformers, Plugs, Receptacles, Fixtures and devices.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Patrols electrical and non-electrical equipment to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.</li>\n <li>Participates in safety, health, plant cleanliness and environmental programs.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by management. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A high school diploma is required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance and repair.</li>\n <li>Must have experience in pipe bending/wire pull/ termination.</li>\n <li>Technical experience, working with sensors and instrumentation.</li>\n <li>Previous or current enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or certification as a general electrician preferred.</li>\n <li>Arc-Flash PPE training preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with trouble shooting is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to identify hazards and work proactively to mitigate risks.</li>\n <li>Ability to use simple test equipment such as a DMM and an insulation tester for troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Ability to identify and anticipate electrical component failures.</li>\n <li>Ability to read electrical drawings such as one-line diagrams, schematics and manuals.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of grounding systems and grounding requirements. </li>\n <li>Understanding of plant operational processes and procedures, including routine and emergency start-up and shutdown practices.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with industrial equipment operations and care.</li>\n <li>Experience with Arc-Flash hazards and wearing the appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, and fall protection).</li>\n <li>Mechanical experience.</li>\n <li>Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience. </li>\n <li>Welding experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of PC/ PLC/ HMI.</li>\n <li>Forklift and Manlift experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in Lockout, Tagout, Blockout (Machine Specific).</li>\n <li>Proficiency with basic computer software such as Outlook, Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work in a professional manner.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse group.</li>\n <li>Ability to write detailed repair reports and must have good verbal communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<h2>Physical Requirments</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to perform job duties while wearing a respirator.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and work overhead, to stoop and to crouch.</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.</li>\n <li>Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations of 175 ft.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to dusty and noisy conditions.</li>\n <li>Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.</li>\n <li>Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical and electrically
