This role is hands-on and product-focused, working across the stack — from Angular front-end experiences to .NET backend services — and includes integrations with hardware and third-party vendors (smart locks, entry systems, building systems, etc.). You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Hardware, QA, and Operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable features used in live residential and commercial buildings.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>● Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across front-end, backend, and data layers</p>\n<p>● Develop and optimize Angular front-end applications with a focus on performance and usability</p>\n<p>● Build .NET (C#) backend services, APIs, and integrations</p>\n<p>● Work with MS/Azure SQL for data modelling, querying, and performance optimization</p>\n<p>● Use Elasticsearch for search, analytics, and log-driven features</p>\n<p>● Implement and maintain hardware and vendor integrations (IoT devices, access control systems, third-party APIs)</p>\n<p>● Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into technical solutions</p>\n<p>● Work with QA to ensure high quality through testing, debugging, and production support</p>\n<p>● Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical direction</p>\n<p>● Support and improve existing systems while helping shape new platform capabilities</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>● 6+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer</p>\n<p>● Strong hands-on experience with:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>○ Angular</p>\n<p>○ .NET / C# (Web APIs, services)</p>\n<p>○ MS/Azure SQL (schema design, performance tuning)</p>\n<p>○ Elasticsearch</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>● Experience designing and consuming REST APIs</p>\n<p>● Exposure to hardware / IoT integrations or complex third-party system integrations (strong asset)</p>\n<p>● Solid understanding of scalable, distributed systems</p>\n<p>● Experience working in Agile / squad-based teams</p>\n<p>● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment</p>\n<p>● Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset</p>\n<p>● Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Replit AI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity, code quality, debugging, or prototyping</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>● Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)</p>\n<p>● Knowledge of message queues, event-driven systems, or real-time data flows</p>\n<p>● Prior experience in PropTech, IoT, or building management systems</p>\n<p>● Experience supporting production systems used by real customers in the field</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join 1VALET </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>● Work on real-world systems deployed in buildings across North America</p>\n<p>● Be part of a platform that blends software, hardware, and operations</p>\n<p>● High ownership, meaningful technical challenges, and visible impact</p>\n<p>● Collaborative, product-driven engineering culture</p>\n<p>● Remote role with a strong Ottawa-based engineering presence </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>AI may be used to help filter applications</p>",
