          "text": "<p>As a Summer Camp Intern, you'll support camp success by welcoming campers and families, supporting camper experience with a focus on safety and fun, leading activities, and contributing to a positive camp environment. Gain hands-on experience in customer service, teamwork, and leadership while fostering memorable camp moments. This is a seasonal role; Summer Camp Interns work part-time Monday - Friday (5 days per week).</p><p>Summer Interns are assigned a designated shift at the time of hire:</p><p>AM Shift: Typically scheduled 7:45pm - 12:30pm; working up to 25 hours weekly.</p><p>PM Shift: Typically scheduled 12:00pm - 6:00pm; working up to 35 hours weekly.</p><p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p><p><em>Engage Fully in Camp Activities:</em></p><ul><li>Collaborate with teammates to plan and support exciting daily activities.</li><li>Supervise campers to maintain safety and a fun, spirited atmosphere.</li><li>Actively join in camp songs, chants, and ceremonies to create memorable moments.</li><li>Use your unique skills to inspire joy and excitement throughout camp.</li></ul><p><em>Facilitate Camp Experience:</em></p><ul><li>Lead groups during activities, transitions, and extended care under the guidance of the leadership team.</li><li>Prepare materials for camp activities, and ensure all spaces are set up to Galileo standards for learning and safety.</li><li>Prioritize camper safety and create an inclusive, energetic environment.</li><li>Cultivate meaningful connections with campers to promote inclusivity and fun.</li><li>Contribute to the camp magic by creating decorations and organizing materials.</li><li>Assist in site set-up at the beginning of each day and reset at the end of each day.</li></ul><p><em>Provide Exceptional Customer Service:</em></p><ul><li>Welcome campers and families with enthusiasm and ensure a safe, positive camper drop-off.</li><li>Efficiently support check-in/check-out processes for smooth daily attendance.</li><li>Enthusiastically interact with camper guardians to ensure a positive and memorable end to the camp day.</li></ul><p><em>Build Your Skills with Ongoing Training and Support!</em></p><ul><li>Complete paid online training on innovation education, Galileo policies, and best practices before camp starts.</li><li>Attend two in-person setup and training days to prepare your camp and meet your team.</li><li>Take on various administrative tasks to support camp operations behind the scenes.</li><li>Develop professionally through feedback, supplemental training, and hands-on learning guided by camp leadership.</li></ul><p><em><strong>PAY &amp; PERKS</strong></em></p><ul><li>Your exact pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including work-site location and tenure:<ul><li><em><strong>Pay ranges</strong></em>&#xa0;<em><strong>from $16.90 to $21.00 per hour</strong></em>, determined based on camp location and years worked with Galileo Camps.</li><li>All staff receive a training pay rate for hours worked prior to the start of camp, which includes all online training and set up day;&#xa0;the training pay rate is&#xa0;the local minimum wage rate.&#xa0;</li></ul></li><li>One f<em>ree week of camp for your own child</em>!</li><li><em>15% Friends and Family Discount</em></li><li><em>Priority scholarship nominations</em></li><li><em>Membership in the Galileo Alumni Community of over 20,000 inspiring changemakers!</em></li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>Experience working with kids ages 4 to 15: caring for, supervising, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, babysitting, etc.</li><li>Ability to balance multiple tasks while working with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.</li><li>Ability to complete all pre-camp tasks, including background checks, state-mandated certifications, electronic onboarding paperwork, and online training prior to the start of camp.</li><li>Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required</li><li>This role requires the ability to access and use web-based tools via a personal smart device</li><li>Availability to work 4-6 hours shifts daily, Monday - Friday, for the duration of camp.<ul><li>Required to be available to work a minimum of 4 continuous weeks overlapping with the dates of camp operation</li><li>Priority is given to those who are able to commit to working for the full duration of camp (4-8 continuous weeks, depending on the camp location).</li></ul></li><li>Must be at least 18&#xa0;years of age by May 1st, 2026</li></ul><p><em>We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and strongly encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds and experiences.
