    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div data-pasted=\"true\"><h1 data-pasted=\"true\">Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) - Part-Time</h1><h2>Dayton, Ohio</h2><h3>Overview</h3><p>Meritus Solutions Group is seeking professional and dependable Armed Protective Security Officers (PSOs) to support federal facilities throughout the Dayton, Ohio area, including surrounding locations requiring armed guard services.</p><p>This position is ideal for current or former military personnel, former law enforcement officers, and experienced armed security professionals seeking flexible part-time opportunities within a federal security environment.</p><p>All Protective Security Officers assigned to this contract provide armed security services at designated federal buildings and facilities.</p><p>While this position begins as part-time, opportunities for full-time placement may become available based on operational needs, performance, and contract availability.</p><hr><h1>Position Responsibilities</h1><p>Protective Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at federal facilities and may perform duties including:</p><ul><li><p>Access control and visitor screening</p></li><li><p>Monitoring entrances, exits, and secured areas</p></li><li><p>Conducting patrols and perimeter inspections</p></li><li><p>Responding to emergencies and security incidents</p></li><li><p>Completing incident and activity reports</p></li><li><p>Operating x-ray and screening equipment</p></li><li><p>Protecting federal personnel, property, and equipment</p></li><li><p>Enforcing site-specific security procedures and federal regulations</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Schedule &amp; Availability</h1><p>Schedules vary based on operational needs and contract requirements.</p><p>Applicants must be available to work:</p><ul><li><p>Day shifts and/or night shifts</p></li><li><p>Weekdays and weekends</p></li><li><p>Holidays (holiday rotations are required)</p></li></ul><p>Part-time employees are required to maintain a minimum number of scheduled hours each month to remain actively employed.</p><hr><h1>Minimum Qualifications</h1><p>Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:</p><ul><li><p>Minimum 21 years of age</p></li><li><p>High school diploma or GED</p></li><li><p>U.S. Citizen with valid Social Security documentation</p></li><li><p>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</p></li><li><p>Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently</p></li><li><p>Ability to compose clear and accurate written reports</p></li><li><p>Ability to successfully pass:</p><ul><li><p>Background investigation</p></li><li><p>Drug screening</p></li><li><p>Medical evaluation</p></li></ul></li></ul><h3>Required Experience</h3><p>Applicants must possess ONE of the following:</p><ul><li><p>Minimum two (2) years of experience as a licensed armed security officer</p></li><li><p>Prior military service with honorable discharge</p></li><li><p>Prior law enforcement experience</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Licensing &amp; Certification Requirements</h1><h3>Required Prior to Consideration:</h3><ul><li><p>Valid Ohio OPOTA Armed Security Officer Certification</p></li></ul><p><strong>Applicants without a current and valid OPOTA certification will not be considered.</strong></p><h3>Additional Certifications (Company Provided if Needed):</h3><ul><li><p>CPR / First Aid / AED Certification</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Training Requirements</h1><p>All officers must successfully complete all required federal contract training prior to standing post.</p><p>Training includes:</p><ul><li><p>Classroom instruction</p></li><li><p>Firearms/range qualification</p></li><li><p>X-ray and screening equipment training</p></li><li><p>Site-specific operational procedures</p></li></ul><p>Typical training duration includes:</p><ul><li><p>Approximately one week of classroom instruction</p></li><li><p>Approximately one week of range/firearms training</p></li><li><p>Additional screening/x-ray training as required</p></li></ul><h3>Training Information</h3><ul><li><p>All required training is paid</p></li><li><p>Training costs are covered by the company</p></li><li><p>Uniforms, duty gear, firearms, and ammunition are provided by the company</p></li></ul><hr><h1>Union Information</h1><p>All officers assigned to this contract are represented by a union.</p><hr><h1>Compensation</h1><h2>Dayton Area Officers</h2><ul><li><p>$32.36/hour base wage</p></li><li><p>Plus $5.15/hour Health &amp;
