The Global Operations Center (GoC) Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Operations team is responsible for maintaining operational stability of SAS’ global server systems (Linux/Windows) internal and hosting server (on prem and cloud) infrastructures. The engineer performs incident management, proactive operations, implements basic requests/changes and documents team procedures.</p>\n<p><strong> Experience: 3-5 Years</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, or related quantitative field or related experience.</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a heterogeneous, dynamic, customer-focused environment </li>\n <li>Experience with Redhat Linux and Windows operating systems, minimum experience 1 year with your primary OS.</li>\n <li>Excellent troubleshooting skills on Windows Operating System and VMware. </li>\n <li>Experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS.</li>\n <li>Support experience with virtualization technologies (preference of VMWare).</li>\n <li>Experience with infrastructure architecture including Servers, Network, SAN/Storage and Backup Services to allow for efficient implementation and non-disruptive expansion and upgrades. </li>\n <li>Experience in scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl, etc).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary responsibilities for this role include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Investigation and management of global and hosting Windows and Linux OS related incidents.</li>\n <li>Proactive management of Windows and Linux OS infrastructure to help reduce reactive incidents.</li>\n <li>Fulfill Windows & Linux related requests and change tickets. </li>\n <li>Produce and maintain current documentation for areas of responsibility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>You are welcome here.</strong></p>\n<p>At SAS, it’s not about fitting into our culture – it’s about adding to it.
