    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Through the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS), the Government of Canada has embarked on one of the largest procurement projects since the Second World War. The NSS is a nation-building effort to create a sustainable Canadian shipbuilding industry, secure long-term job opportunities and build the next generation of ships for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy. Through its NSS–related work, Seaspan Shipyards is owning the redevelopment of our domestic shipbuilding industry on the West Coast and delivering on the promise of ships built in Canada, by Canadians.</p><p>The Intern, Finance (Controllership) will provide support in the day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close process, and financial reporting for Seaspan Shipyards and Seaspan ULC. This role will collaborate with a variety of teams across Seaspan Shipyards. The ability to clearly communicate, attention to detail, excellent people skills, flexibility, and adaptability in a demanding environment with competing priorities are essential for this role. This role is ideal for students looking to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in a dynamic environment.
