    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong>:</p><ul><li>Responsible for delivery of resident care through use of the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.&nbsp;</li><li>Directs and guides patient teaching, activities of the ancillary personnel, while maintaining standards of professional nursing.</li><li>Assessment of physical, psychological, and social dimensions.</li><li>Develops, implements, and evaluates formal plan of care. Updates plan of care as needed.</li><li>Intervenes with proper techniques, procedures, and safety precautions to meet individual needs.</li><li>Implements medical plan through administration of medication and documenting appropriately.</li><li>Functions within the limits of Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies/procedures.</li><li>Administers medications and blood products as appropriate per the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies/procedures.</li><li>Provides education as needed, including the use of community resources.</li><li>Assists in discharge planning as indicated.</li><li>Develops and maintains professional, courteous relationships with residents, families, visitors, and coworkers.</li><li>Maintains resident confidentiality and privacy.</li><li>Assists in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.</li><li>Transports residents to other departments as needed.</li><li>Assists and performs assignments as required.</li><li>Keeps current on activities of the hospital/nursing facility through regular attendance of staff meetings, in-service training, and other educational programs as indicated.</li><li>After receiving appropriate training, performs duties of ancillary departments as indicated:</li><li>Respiratory Therapy &ndash; Mini-Neb Treatments, O2 set ups and maintenance, croup tent set up and maintenance, EKGs, and pulse oximetry.</li><li>Physical Therapy &ndash; Whirlpool therapy, traction set up and maintenance.</li><li>Participates in facility&rsquo;s performance improvement initiatives as directed.</li><li>Maintains KBN requirements for active licensure.</li><li>Assists in the orientation of new staff as needed.</li><li>Participates in committees and other activities that promote the organization&rsquo;s mission and goals.</li><li>Strives for excellence in resident care.
