This team ensures that race venues are prepared, maintained, and operated safely and efficiently, providing athletes with the highest quality experience. Crew members work closely with coaches, officials, and program staff to deliver smooth daily training sessions, time trials, and sanctioned races.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Strong skiing ability (intermediate/advanced minimum); comfortable skiing varied terrain while carrying equipment.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Prior experience in ski racing, alpine competition, or mountain operations preferred but not required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to work outdoors in all winter weather conditions.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and installing race equipment (up to 50 lbs).</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Willingness to learn course setting, maintenance, and race operations procedures.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.</p><p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Willingness to learn.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to ski safely and confidently in all snow conditions, on varying types of terrain during extreme winter weather for prolonged periods of time.</p><p>Responsibilities: &nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Course Preparation &amp; Maintenance</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist with hill setup including fencing, safety netting, start/finish areas, and signage.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Set, slip, and maintain training and race courses under the direction of coaches or officials.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain racing surfaces throughout training and events, including snow removal, raking, and salt application when necessary.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Race Operations</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Support timing and race operations by helping with equipment setup, cabling, and data logistics.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Serve as course workers, or other assigned roles during races.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist in efficient tear-down and removal of equipment post-training or competition.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Safety &amp; Risk Management</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Monitor athlete and spectator safety around the course and enforce safety protocols.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain compliance with Winter4Kids, US Ski &amp; Snowboard, and FIS safety standards.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Respond appropriately to on-hill incidents and assist ski patrol when needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Team &amp; Program Support</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Work collaboratively with coaching staff and volunteers to create a positive environment for athletes.</p><p>o<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Represent Winter4Kids&rsquo; mission by promoting respect, teamwork, and inclusion.</p><p><br></p><p>Work Environment &amp; Physical Demands:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist participants and other employees in race day needs.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Carry and ski with on hill equipment.(Fencing, tools ect)</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Some physical requirements of this position include standing, running, some bending, stooping, and stretching. &nbsp;Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate equipment and demonstrate sports activities. &nbsp;Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/program. &nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\">&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Seasonal, part-time role: primarily weekends with some weekday/evening events.</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Race days and training sessions may require early mornings and extended hours.</p><p>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Hourly pay, commensurate with experience.</p><p>Note: This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with this job.
