Description

Position Summary The Area Sales Manager drives growth in SIMCO’s calibration and service portfolio by renewing existing customer agreements on time, implementing annual price increases, and expanding market share through new business acquisitions. This role requires consistent territory coverage, disciplined pipeline development, and skilled application of value-based selling. Success in this position comes from understanding customer motivations, differentiating SIMCO beyond price, and achieving strong, steady performance across all key measures. Key Outcomes : performance is measured by: On-time renewal of service agreements Implementation of annual price increases Win a consistent monthly pace of new bookings Growth in revenue net outside service costs Prospecting new qualified pipeline Core Responsibilities : Develop and execute a territory plan to grow revenue and market share Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting within CRM (Salesforce) Conduct customer discovery to identify business drivers and decision criteria Differentiate SIMCO’s value proposition to win competitive opportunities Drive deal progression and manage complex opportunities through a structured sales process Collaborate with internal teams to drive customer satisfaction and retention Review and inspect pipeline regularly to ensure deal quality and momentum Accurately forecast a sufficient volume of new bookings to consistently achieve quota targets Track key metrics such as win rate, deal cycle time, and renewal completion Qualifications : Proven sales success with track record of meeting or exceeding quota Strong territory management and prospecting skills Demonstrated ability to sell value over price Proficient in Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms Resourceful sales professional with expertise in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Behavioral and Cultural Competencies : Mission in Service- Contribute to successful mission to protect more people by delivering lifesaving quality, leaner Values- Make decisions that are consistent with our core values and guiding principles Trust- Obsess Over Customers, Don’t Compromise On Quality, Respond Fast & Friendly Innovation- Find A Better Way, Lead By Being Lean, Attack The Problems Empathy- Learn & Grow, Serve As One SIMCO, Operate Like Owners Ideal Team Player- Operate and work with others as an ideal team player by being Humble, Hungry, and Smart Travel: Up to 50% is required for in-person customer engagement to sell renewal and new bookings About Us: SIMCO Electronics is the leading provider of calibration and software services for test and measurement instruments used in technology organizations.
