Our Hospitality staff ensure the cleanliness of our buildings to keep our guests and team members comfortable and safe.  We are looking for high energy individuals who demonstrate IslandWood's core values that enable teams and individuals to succeed with shared respect and purpose</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><em>We encourage diverse applicants because we believe having a staff that authentically reflects the communities we serve is critical to our ability to be culturally responsive.</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Janitorial Services Assistant</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Classification: Part Time Flex</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay Rate: $21.07/HR</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule: Mornings, Evenings or weekends </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Location: On-site/Bainbridge Island Campus</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Benefit Package      </span><span>This position is eligible to receive Sick &amp; Safe leave with a maximum annual accrual of </span><span>40 hours. </span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Assist with event setups and breakdowns including lifting and moving furniture</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Event cleaning, routine cleaning, and occasional deep cleaning projects </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Scheduled turnovers and cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, dining room, and other buildings</span></li>\n<li><span>Cleaning, mopping, window cleaning, waste removal, recycling separation,</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Communicate inventory and equipment status to the Hospitality Services Manager</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Campus security and nightly lock-up of buildings; evening emergency assistance</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:  </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Minimum of 6 months experience of professional janitor work in the hospitality industry</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Be able to understand and follow safety guidelines</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be physically able to walk, stand, bend, twist, turn, kneel, stoop, climb ladders and stairs</span></li>\n<li><span>Able to use hand tools and push, lift and carry up to 70 pounds</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Washington State driver’s license and ability to obtain any licenses required for system or vehicle operation</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Commitment to support IslandWood’s work towards equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must comply with and maintain a drug-free work environment.</span><br></li>\n<li><span>Must pass child safety screening procedure; post offer.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>IslandWood provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.</span></p>",
