As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Fisheries Biologist to to support NMFS West Coast Region in evaluating Hatchery and Genetic Management Plans (HGMPs).</p>\n<p>These positions are anticipated to begin in September–October 2026, pending/contingent on contract award. Employment in this role is contingent upon FLOAT* being awarded the contract by NOAA.</p>\n<p>This role supports ESA and NEPA evaluations of hatchery programs affecting ESA-listed salmon and steelhead.</p>\n<p><strong>* This position is advertised through our joint venture, FISH and Lynker Ocean Alliance Team (FLOAT), a partnership between Lynker and Fisheries Immersed Sciences Hawaii (FISH) serving the NOAA ProTech Fisheries 2.0 IDIQ contracting vehicle.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties of the Senior Fisheries Biologist will include the following:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Draft ESA effects evaluation and determination documents for HGMPs</p></li>\n   <li><p>Prepare NEPA Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements</p></li>\n   <li><p>Evaluate hatchery program impacts on ESA-listed species</p></li>\n   <li><p>Respond to internal, co-manager, and public comments</p></li>\n   <li><p>Collaborate with NMFS staff, tribes, and state agencies</p></li>\n   <li><p>Present technical findings and participetingsate in me</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Deliverables: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>ESA documents</p></li>\n   <li><p>NEPA documents and response-to-comments packages</p></li>\n   <li><p>Technical analyses of hatchery impacts</p></li>\n   <li><p>Monthly progress reports and technical presentations</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Place of Performance</strong>Work will be performed primarily offsite with access to NOAA systems as required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Travel</strong>Twelve (12) single day trips, (one day per month) to Seattle or Lacey, WA NMFS office for technical collaboration and check-ins.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>The Senior Fisheries Biologist selected should have the following:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Master’s degree (MA/MS) AND at least five 5+ years of experience</strong>,<strong>OR</strong></p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Bachelor’s degree AND at least ten 10+ years of experience</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Minimum three (3) years of hatchery program experience</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience drafting ESA and NEPA documents</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience evaluating impacts to natural-origin fish populations</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience working with federal, tribal, and state co-managers</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong technical writing and communication ski</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>* This position is advertised through our joint venture, FISH and Lynker Ocean Alliance Team (FLOAT), a partnership between Lynker and Fisheries Immersed Sciences Hawaii (FISH) serving the NOAA ProTech Fisheries 2.0 IDIQ contracting vehicle.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About Lynker</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Lynker is a growing, employee owned business, specializing in professional, scientific and technical services.
