Apply today and let&rsquo;s create memorable guest experiences together!</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong> Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the hotel&rsquo;s physical plant and equipment. This role ensures that all systems and equipment function efficiently and that the property remains in optimal condition, meeting safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> All duties and responsibilities of this position are to be performed with exceptional caring and genuine guest service upholding the Oxford Collection of hotels standards and culture at all times.</p><p><strong>Safety &amp; Preventative Maintenance (50%):</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Conduct routine preventive maintenance for guest rooms, public areas, hotel equipment, and carpet care as scheduled under the direction of the Supervisor or Maintenance Manager</li><li>Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by the supervisor</li><li>Assist with preventative maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and other basic repairs to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality standard</li><li>Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures as needed</li><li>Provide general grounds keeping services such as trash removal, pool and spa maintenance, grounds upkeep, kitchen Equipment cleaning and service, and security rounds</li><li>Maintain organized work areas and equipment in alignment with sanitation and cleanliness standards whiling ensuring equipment operating logs are up to date</li><li>Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations</li></ul><p>Perform all tasks in compliance with federal, state, local, food safety and sanitation requirements and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards and security procedures. Be knowledgeable about and able to respond to emergency situations. &nbsp; Report any maintenance repairs needed immediately to their supervisor or General Manager.</p><p><strong>Maintenance Repairs (30%):</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in maintaining and repair of the exterior and interior of the property&nbsp;</li><li>Using hand tools; painting or repairing windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures</li><li>Trouble shoot and perform maintenance on hotel systems and equipment including plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen, and laundry equipment</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems, or make minor replacements as needed</li><li>Service the hotel&rsquo;s pool, including adjusting chemicals, cleaning filters, and maintaining record logs</li><li>Maintain the building exterior and &quot;curb appeal&quot; (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, and gardening)</li><li>Stay in touch with the Front Desk, bistro and housekeeping departments regarding guest needs that arise during the shift</li><li>Assist property leadership in meeting and exceeding all company benchmarks for preventative maintenance, response time, customer satisfaction, etc.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Guest Relations&nbsp;</strong><strong>(15%):</strong></p><ul><li>Engage with guests in a friendly, customer-focused manner, providing a high level of service to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.</li><li>Address guest concerns <strong>promptly and professionally</strong>, assisting with issue resolution when needed.</li><li>Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guests</li></ul><p><strong>Other (5%):</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure the smooth delivery of services</li><li>Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts</li><li>May participate in the drivers program or other hotel-related duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Additional tasks may be assigned, modified or changed as no employee has any inherent right to any particular job or authority.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>CORE SKILLS AND VALUES</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Company Character &ndash; Supports company vision and values</li><li>Customer Service &ndash; Understands and meets the needs of customers</li><li>Mechanical Skills &ndash; Understands and is competent operating hand, and power equipment. &nbsp;Understands safety aspects</li><li>Physical Skills &ndash; Capable of performing laborious work in varied conditions</li><li>Problem Solving &ndash; Sees and is able to define problems and find causes</li><li>Professional Appearance &ndash; Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming</li><li>Team Orientation &ndash; Works cooperatively with others, establishes rapport and assists others</li></ul><p><strong>PREFFERED EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma or GED preferred</li><li>1+ years of general maintenance experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Experience and knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, electrical and other guest room repairs preferred</li></ul><p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Valid Drivers License Required</li><li>Proof of eligibility to work in the United States</li><li>Reliable transportation to and from work</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays</li><li>Reliable and consistent attendance</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently</li><li>Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, climb and walk on uneven surfaces on a frequent basis</li><li>Must be able to walk, climb ladders and work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat)</li><li>Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 50 lbs. and often exert up to 20 pounds of force to push, pull, carry, lift or otherwise move objects.</li></ul><p>Oxford Collection of hotels is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
