With a combined legacy of resilience, Magnera will build personal partnerships that withstand an ever-changing world.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p>\n<p>Repair machinery as required and actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, and continuous improvement maintenance functions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and applicable laws.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in risk assessment activities, incident investigations, root cause analysis and support implemented corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Participate in safety observation programs.</li>\n <li>Team work focused with a positive attitude.</li>\n <li>Review work orders and complete as assigned.</li>\n <li>Originate and process emergency work orders, when necessary.</li>\n <li>Have a clear understanding of and strictly comply with LO/TO policy.</li>\n <li>Use computer system to find needed parts for repairs.</li>\n <li>Maintain written documentation of work performed.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot an inoperable machine or piece of equipment. Work may involve installing, servicing, replacing, and/or repairing any machine or equipment plant-wide.  </li>\n <li>Complete line walks; scheduled preventive maintenance; conduct major overhauls including changing or repairing large pieces of equipment; and assist operations with processing issues.</li>\n <li>Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.</li>\n <li>Operate basic and advanced shop tools. </li>\n <li>Maintain clean work areas.</li>\n <li>Ability to work day or night shift, and OT, as needed.</li>\n <li>Willingness and ability to train on new technologies, as well as train others.</li>\n <li>Trained on rigging and hoists.</li>\n <li>Reads drawings, prints & sketches.</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize and effectively utilize available resources.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certification in Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent preferred</li>\n <li>1-5+ years of manufacturing experience  in a maintenance role (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)</li>\n <li>Recent graduates also considered</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Active Learner:</strong> Able to identify own development and learning needs. Can read, write, listen, observe and can pick on subtleties. Pays attention to nonverbal ques and body language. Comfortable communicating in both individual and group settings.</p>\n<p><strong>Team Work:</strong> Can collaborate, idea share, listen and be a member of a team while being respectful of others. Assumes responsibility for own commitments and actions. Shares knowledge & experience with team members. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</em></strong></p>\n<p>Ability to stand and walk 12 hours or more a day on concrete, solid metal or corrugated metal surfaces to perform production duties. Employee must be able to work rotating 8 hour shifts if needed. Ability to sit while driving and operating material handling equipment 1- 3 hours per shift. Ability to sit while entering data into computers, reviewing data, completing reports, etc.</p>\n<p>Employee must be able to climb, bend, stoop and crawl.  Employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.  Required to frequently ascend and descend up to three flights of stairs over extremely fast moving machinery.  Required to safely access fast moving machinery which includes rolls with inward nip points.    </p>\n<p><strong><em>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</em></strong></p>\n<p>Area may or may not be air conditioned or heated, and may be humid and hot or cold depending on seasonal conditions. Exposure to hot and/or abrasive surfaces.</p>\n<p>Required to be in tight spaces on occasion and to heights daily. Possible exposure to noise levels over 90 decibels for 12 hours at certain locations. Moving machinery or moving objects on production floor. Floor surfaces slippery at times.</p>\n<p>Exposure to chemicals which may cause eye or skin irritation and/or burns, and irritation to respiratory system. Exposure to static electricity on occasion. Exposure to and use of sharp implements at times. Exposure to outside elements on occasion.</p>\n<p><strong><em>MENTAL ABILITIES:</em></strong></p>\n<p>Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities. Ability to read charts and document numbers and events on paper and in computer. Ability to read electrical indicators and laboratory equipment indicators. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
