    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>The General Foreman is a skilled position that ensures projects are completed in a safe and timely manner. This position effectively plans ahead anticipating issues and project needs in order to accomplish the goals of the company and crew members. The General Foreman will normally supervisor between six and eight crews, depending on crew sizes and geographic distribution of crews or at the discretion of the Owner.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Essential Functions:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Work safely while performing the task at hand work.</li>\n <li>Responsible in efficiently scheduling crews and assigning their work.</li>\n <li>Maintain necessary records (written and computer records).</li>\n <li>Assists fellow workers in meeting project objectives.</li>\n <li>Maintain good customer and public relations.</li>\n <li>Communicate with customers to convey any project related issues, concerns, explanations, procedures, and techniques to be used.</li>\n <li>Lead, train, and coach team members on the proper pruning (natural &amp; directional) techniques.</li>\n <li>Operate vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner.</li>\n <li>Assist in visual observation and safety checks in the process of vegetation management and cleaning.</li>\n <li>Readily join storm restoration efforts in times of need.</li>\n <li>Interpret engineering drawings.</li>\n <li>Ensure crew members are carrying out work.</li>\n <li>Adapt quickly to abrupt changes in plans and schedules.</li>\n <li>Understand the Line Clearance Contract with the Owner and be able to adhere to it.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate with crew members.</li>\n <li>Be safety conscious by securing the safety of yourself and others utilizing proper tools, safety equipment, and PPE.</li>\n <li>Participate in ongoing training to improve technical and leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Responsible for coordinating and inspecting the work of crew members.</li>\n <li>Responsible for complying with company reporting procedures and completing company paperwork.</li>\n <li>Responsible for ensuring company vehicles, equipment and tools are maintained in good working conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Minimum Requirements:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+years of experience required.</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent work ethic.</li>\n <li>Must have a good knowledge of and ability to interpret engineering drawings.</li>\n <li>Must have broad knowledge of all climbing skills and all other technical aspects (mechanical and manual) of electrical line clearance operations.</li>\n <li>Able to read and communicate effectively in English.</li>\n <li>Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.</li>\n <li>Able to make decisions.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license.</li>\n <li>A Commercial Driver’s License is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Must have a thorough knowledge of proper pruning techniques (natural and directional).</li>\n <li>Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.</li>\n <li>Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.</li>\n <li>Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Willing to work overtime when requested.</li>\n <li>Must have working knowledge of all equipment associated with line clearance activities.</li>\n <li>Must have excellent communication and people skills.</li>\n <li>Must be responsible and trustworthy.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Other Requirements:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must properly inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li>\n <li>Must understand when to wear personal protective equipment.</li>\n <li>Able to perform rigorous physical labor.</li>\n <li>Understand proper use of company radio.</li>\n <li>Understand the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.</li>\n <li>Capable of receiving and following directions.</li>\n <li>Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.</li>\n <li>Does all other related work as required to complete the job.</li>\n <li>Able to read/write and communicate effectively.</li>\n <li>Must follow Company Safety Rules and Company Policies and Procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Physical Demands:</b></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle to feel; and reach with hands and arms.</p>\n<p><b>Work Environment:</b></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
