    "description": "<h2>Subsidiary</h2>New Millennium\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Assist engineering department in ensuring sound engineering design of product through all stages of development.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Design steel joists, joist girders and steel decking according to Steel Joist Institute and Steel Deck Institute standards.</li>\n <li>Roof/floor designs for projects ranging from retail buildings, schools, warehouses, etc.</li>\n <li>Design structural steel and connections to applicable codes and standards</li>\n <li>Provide engineering direction to detailing, design, sales and production departments</li>\n <li>Interpret contract documents and communicate with architects, engineers of record, fabricators and others on product design requirements</li>\n <li>Become conversant in AISC, AISI, SJI, and SDI codes and specs.</li>\n <li>Other duties as necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Degree in Civil Engineering ideally with emphasis in structures</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Be an EIT and capable of pursuing PE licensure in the future</li>\n <li>Prior structural and/or joist experience preferred</li>\n <li>Knowledgeable in interpreting structural drawings and contract documents preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>",
