    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Title:  Environmental Engineer </span></p>\n<p>Location: Amesbury, MA</p>\n<p>Job Type: Regular Full-time</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What’s the Opportunity?</span></p>\n<p>Anchor QEA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to join our Amesbury, MA office. This is a full-time opportunity to grow your engineering career while contributing to both local and national environmental remediation projects. We are looking for candidates with 6 to 10 years of experience in environmental engineering design and construction support. Project experience with geotechnical engineering evaluations related to sediments are considered a plus.</p>\n<p>You’ll work on a variety of projects involving sediment remediation, stream and wetland restoration, and other in-water and upland environmental efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in site investigation, design development, and construction oversight, with opportunities to collaborate across disciplines and make a meaningful impact. Work may require travel within the northeast region, and occasionally elsewhere in the United States.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, show initiative and attention to detail, and possess a strong interest in environmental engineering.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support planning, design, and implementation of environmental remediation projects, including dredging, capping, stream restoration, and wetland construction.</li>\n<li>Prepare engineering design documents, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and calculations.</li>\n<li>Contribute to technical reports such as sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and design documentation.</li>\n<li>Perform environmental sampling of soil, sediment, and water sampling,</li>\n<li>Provide field support for site inspections and construction oversight.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, scientists, planners, and biologists.</li>\n<li>Participate in construction support activities, including reviewing contractor submittals and RFIs.</li>\n<li>Ensure deliverables meet Anchor QEA’s quality standards.</li>\n<li>Travel occasionally for fieldwork, site visits, and project meetings (primarily in New England and NY).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Are We Looking For? </span></p>\n<p>Ideal candidates will have the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Coastal, or Geotechnical Engineering.</li>\n<li>6–10 years of experience in environmental remediation, including investigation, design, and construction.</li>\n<li>Experience with sediment remediation projects (such as dredging and capping) and stream or wetland restoration projects.</li>\n<li>Experience with project and/or task management including task planning, delegation, review of work by others, and budget tracking.</li>\n<li>Strong technical writing and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel for field assignments and meetings.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS for site planning and design.</li>\n<li>Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in MA or NY, or on track to obtain within 1-2 years.</li>\n<li>Experience with marketing/business development including proposal writing.</li>\n<li>Experience with client interaction and management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Can You Expect? </span></p>\n<p>A collaborative work environment where we encourage everyone to bring their authentic self.
