If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.</span><span style=\"color: #323234; font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ec6d32; font-size: 15px; font-weight: 900\">ROLE SUMMARY</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">As a senior consultant, private sector development project lead, you will lead a cross-cultural team of analysts, consultants, investment professionals, lawyers, and other business professionals to execute a multi-year program that aims to dramatically improve the SME investment ecosystem in Africa. As lead, you will ensure the project is implemented to Renew Capital’s standards, adhering to the contract, and delivering results. The lead will be accountable for project outcomes and be evaluated on the quality of their deliverables and their ability to accomplish project targets on time and within the project budget.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Successful candidates will have a strong background in business and/or investment work, and/or management consulting. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in frontier markets, learning and working with foreign cultures, adaptive and emotionally intelligent, patient and an excellent communicator. Successful candidates will also be strong trainers, exceptional writers, and capable of handling data analysis and a variety of business and finance work. S/he will receive comprehensive onboarding and critical support from Renew Capital’s leadership team and will be involved in a high-impact role creating significant social and financial impact on the continent.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #323234; font-size: 15px\">Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Overseeing and driving the execution of a key development project by achieving results and meticulously delivering on all project milestones</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Developing and leading a team of project analysts</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Continuously improving and managing a collaborative company-wide M&amp;E and reporting system that effectively captures the social impact of the firm, particularly in the area of gender equality</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Helping to develop and facilitate Renew Capital’s core gender-smart programs by training SMEs both virtually and in-person</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Liaising with Renew Capital’s asset management team to design and test interventions that fulfill project requirements and ultimately result in SMEs attracting growth capital from a variety of funding sources</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Providing coaching and technical assistance to a consortium of entrepreneurs looking to scale their companies and persist through various cultural and economical hurdles</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Preparing and reviewing project reports for clients that demonstrate Renew Capital’s social impact results in a compelling and beautiful manner</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Managing communications with clients and running internal and external project meetings</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Creating, improving and driving the organization’s adoption of Renew Capital’s consulting project tools, systems and processes</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Reporting to and collaborating with Renew Capital’s executive management team on a regular basis to continuously improve SOPs and efficiency in delivering project results</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #323234; font-size: 15px\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Master’s degree in business administration, finance or development is preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">5+ years of management consulting and/or finance experience. Consulting experience in both the private sector and with an international development firm focused on gender equality is a plus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Experience managing grant-based projects</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Proficiency in writing reports in English</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Strong project management skills – certification in project management is a plus</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Exposure to the finance or private equity world</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Excellent Excel and PowerPoint ability</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Location and Travel Opportunities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">This position requires the candidate to be based in Africa.
