    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>Boston Veterinary Care (BVC)</strong> is seeking a full-time <strong>Medical Director&nbsp;</strong>to join our team in Boston&rsquo;s historic South End.</p><p>BVC is more than a great place to practice medicine - we&rsquo;re the neighborhood vet that gives back. As part of the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), we offer the same comprehensive services as any top-tier clinic, with one important difference: 100% of our proceeds go directly to helping animals in need. Every client visit funds ARL&rsquo;s shelter and community programs. When you practice at BVC, your work stretches beyond the exam room.</p><p><strong>What practicing and leadership here looks like:</strong></p><p>You&rsquo;ll work in a busy, well-supported hospital with a diverse caseload that includes wellness care, sick visits, dentistry, surgery, and diagnostic workups. You&rsquo;ll partner closely with experienced technicians and support staff who allow you to stay focused on practicing medicine.</p><p>We&rsquo;re structured to keep the work engaging without being overwhelming. There are no on-call or overnight responsibilities, allowing for a more sustainable schedule.</p><p>As the Medical Director, you&#39;ll provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Veterinarians and Technicians, while guiding the clinic&#39;s medical practice.</p><p><strong>A space designed for how you actually practice:</strong></p><p>ARL is building a brand-new, three-story, state-of-the-art facility at our current South End location, set to open in early 2027. BVC will occupy its own dedicated space on the third floor of the new building, including:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Separate entrance and private elevator access</li><li>Dedicated client parking</li><li>New, modern equipment</li><li>Two surgical suites</li><li>Private euthanasia space designed with both families and care teams in mind</li></ul><p>The building will also house ARL&rsquo;s Boston adoption center, new Shelter &amp; Community Veterinary spaces, dog training, humane education, and pet owner support services. It represents a major investment in ARL&rsquo;s Boston home - bringing our work together in a way our current space no longer allows - and you&rsquo;d be joining the team before that transition in a critical leadership role, helping shape what comes next.</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Base compensation ranging from $140,000 (for 32 hours per week) to $175,000 (for 40 hours per week) annually</li><li>Schedule options for 32 hours per week or 40 hours per week</li><li>No on-call or overnight responsibilities</li><li>22% quarterly production bonus with no negative accrual</li><li>CE allowance and paid CE time</li><li>Reimbursement for licensure, DEA, and professional dues</li><li>Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance upon hire</li><li>Immediate eligibility for 403(b) retirement plan with 3% employer match</li><li>Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness</li><li>Paid time off including vacation, sick, personal days, and holidays</li><li>Pet care discounts and reimbursement</li><li>Free off-street parking and MBTA commuter benefits</li></ul><p>If this sounds like the kind of practice you&rsquo;ve been looking for, we&rsquo;d love to talk.</p></div></div>\n",
