    "description": "<p>This is a field position that requires out-of-town assignments, including working 6&ndash;7 days per week and staying in hotels for extended periods. All travel expenses are covered for out-of-town assignments. Even though this is a full-time position, there may be down periods due to project scheduling and weather, including reduced hours or possible layoff during the winter months. Typically, a Field Technician works a full year (2080 hours) within a nine-month construction season.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection results.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Weaver Project Manager.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Adhere to strict safety standards.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Provide clear documentation of findings and results.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss the accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Progressively assume increased roles of training and responsibility in work assignments.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Follow safety rules, practices, and other safety requirements for all projects.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Report any safety issues or concerns to management.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Maintain quality standards on all projects.</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>HS Diploma</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>At least 6 months of relevant experience in CQA and/or field-based positions</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Good communication, writing, and organization skills</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ability to use basic computer applications like Microsoft Office</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Willingness to work independently as well as in a team environment</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Ability to lift 50 pounds required</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, including the ability to pass a motor vehicle review (MVR)</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n\t<li>\r\n\t<p>Pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $20 to $30 per hour</p>\r\n\t</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in\">&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\"><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">EOE/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability</span></span></span></p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\"><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Weaver Consultants Group maintains a drug-free workplace.&nbsp;</span></span></span></p>\r\n\r\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">From its inception in 1991, Weaver Consultants Group has been founded upon the tenets of attentive and responsive customer service, strong project management, and solid internal financial controls.
