Job Description The Contracts Specialist is responsible for the preliminary review, drafting, editing, and processing of company’s contracts, including but not limited to prime, subconsultant, and joint-venture agreements. Facilitates the contract review process with Project Directors, Area Managers, Finance, Project Operations and Legal Counsel. Supports marketing proposal activity, providing review of sample prime contracts with owners. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Reviews and analyzes all professional consulting services contracts to ensure compliance of all contract terms and conditions with industry standards Identify and escalate contractual risks to inform Legal Counsel to propose mitigation strategies use pre-approved language modifications for negotiations. Facilitates internal contract review process Collaborates with Contract Administrators to ensure incorporation of any necessary revisions to contract prior to signature Ensures that all necessary elements of contract are included prior to distribution, including any supplemental forms or insurance requirements Coordinates execution of approved contracts Provide guidance on contract requirements during bidding and procurement processes Maintains accurate contract logs on CobbleStone Maintains contract status reports Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in business, legal studies, construction management or JD preferred (no license necessary) 2-5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in construction management, engineering, or architectural industry Familiarity with key contract types Knowledge of key issues related to public contracting, contract terms, and pricing Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to properly and efficiently manage projects and other functions as assigned within area of responsibility. Must possess time-management skills needed to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products is required Experience with Cobblestone Systems for contract lifecycle management preferred.
