The team is dedicated to inspiring better business performance and helping clients focus on their core businesses.</p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>The <strong>Maintenance Technician</strong> is responsible for performing predictive and preventative maintenance on mechanical and building systems including HVAC pumps, motors, valves, and chilled water distribution systems. The <strong>Maintenance Technician</strong> demonstrates BGIS values in communication with clients and other team members.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Maintain Building Systems</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Maintain Building Systems</strong></li>\n <li>Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.</li>\n <li>Assist with ancillary building systems necessary to keep systems operating at peak performance with minimal downtime.</li>\n <li>Receive direction from Lead Facility Engineer or Facility Manager.</li>\n <li>Maintain facility equipment as indicated by preventative maintenance plan.</li>\n <li>Provide general building maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend upgrades.</li>\n <li>Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.</li>\n <li>Forward high-level technical maintenance to appropriate resource.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Customer Service</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Respond to customer service requests.</li>\n <li>Monitor service requests in work order management system.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients.</li>\n <li>Respond to off hour emergency calls.</li>\n <li>Work with vendors and contractors to oversee and ensure work meets BGIS standards.</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Education, Knowledge, And Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>One (1) year of experience with building /facility operations or training equivalent&nbsp;</li>\n <li>High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience required.</li>\n <li>Experience or knowledge of with maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability and willingness to travel regionally.</li>\n <li>Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.</li>\n <li>Ability to work at heights and from ladders.</li>\n <li>Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.</li>\n <li>Respond to off hour emergency calls.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Why This Role Matters</u></strong></p>\n<p>Every system you maintain, every repair you make, every inspection you complete directly supports the engines driving AI across the world.
